It doesn't have to be a scary movie it can be any movie that has a Scary/Creepy Scene in it
Willard - First time I saw a re-run of this on Tv I had nightmares about these large Black Sewer Rats attacking me. I'm a 25 year old man (soon to be 26 this December) and I Cringe whenever I see a rat scurry across the floor.
Honorable Mention - Mrs. Frisby and the Rats of NIMH - my dad use to rent this from the local video store when I was a kid I just saw it for the first time in years on TV a year back and it took me till then to realize how scary The Great Owl and Nicodemus both are

Although parts of it now seem (almost) laughable, The Exorcist (1973) REALLY was, at the time anyway, quite frightening (due mainly to the idea of the devil actually getting inside a child). More recently, even though the movie itself is really not that frightening (and at times, just flat-out annoying), the very end of The Blair Witch Project (1999) (i.e., the scene in the basement) STILL haunts me to this day. On the surface, it seems so simple, but there's just something SO incredibly, disturbingly creepy about the way it was done, that STILL sends a chill down my spine, whenever I think of it.... SAVE FERRIS

I'm a big fan of horror movies, the grudge movie scared me when I first seen it but I was only 12, looking back at it it wasn't that scary I just wasn't used to that kind of horror. Its strange because I found the ring really boring and the movies are very alike.

The first time I watched Jaws when I was like 9 or 10, the head scene made me jump.

The Exorcist, and then Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Beyond that I really don't think any movie can truly scare me anymore. Though I'm open to trying.

I would have to go with The Exorcist. Every time I see it, it still scares me.

The Shining (1980) , The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (1974), The Thing (1982), and Alien (1979) are the only movies that I think are truly scary.

I don`t remember the name of it. But it was a Swedish movie from the 60s i think. I watched it in the mid 90s.

Dracula (1958). I was 6 years old when I saw it for the first time.

I liked most of the Paranormal Activity movies for scare factor.

The Exorcist scared me but I saw it at a very early age.
Jaws scared me.
The final shot in Trilogy of Terror also spooked me. Dan Curtis also needs a mention for Burnt Offerings (the chauffeur nightmare) and Dead of Night (tv anthology--the "Bobby" segment!)
Salem's Lot: the kids at the window and in the grave, as well as Geoffrey Lewis in the rocking chair.
I dont know if I rate this as scary or just disturbing but the Japanese Ring movie scene with the girl coming out of the tv made me squirm in my chair and swear out loud.

"Let's Scare Jessica to Death". I just felt ill at ease while watching when I was a kid. I'm actually kind of confused about it now.

I've seen a lot of movies that I have thought were scary and that I also enjoyed, but The Texas Chainsaw Massacre really disturbed me.

"The Hitcher" (1986) is the only movie that has ever given me nightmares.

The Exorcist, and then Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Beyond that I really don't think any movie can truly scare me anymore. Though I'm open to trying. Same here. I have watched a lot of Horror and Thriller movies over the years and the last time I remember one scaring me was when I was little. I think there are far scarier things to worry about in the real world and seeing and hearing about all the terrorist attacks happening over the world scares me more than any movie. Ohh and snakes, lizards and big spiders. I hate those.

"The Hitcher" (1986) is the only movie that has ever given me nightmares. Which part? The truck pull apart scene?
