So I'm 10 minutes into episode 1 and I'm already starting to fast forward it's so bad. If it wasn't HBO and well-reviewed and the fact that I'm a fan of Alexander Skarsgard there's a good chance I'd be out at this point. Sure hope it gets better...
... finished episode 1 and it didn't get any better. I assume that episode 1 was probably character background and something will actually happen in episode 2 but wow what a rough start.

It was okay. A bit soapy. The cheating subplot was pointless and didn't go anywhere. Guess modern, sensitive guys really are "cucks". Also, the big twist was really obvious.

Yay! Literally one of the best mini-series* I've seen.
*I know it's getting a 2nd season but, when I saw it, it was a mini-series.

Yay! Although... The big reveal/twist is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too coincidental.. It's borderline ludicrous.

And extremely predictable.

Is it better than "The Night Of"? I'd say no. I liked 'The Night Of' alot; it was well made, well acted, and gripping but by the end of it I couldn't help but feel like literally nothing happened in it.

The transformation of Riz Ahmed's character from innocent kid to hardened criminal - ironically from within the confinds of a prison meant to do the opposite - was amazing to watch. They also revealed who the killer was, which they could have just left ambiguous and called it a day.

Well.. the whole point of the series was to portray what the modern day criminal justice system does to people, especially Riker's Island. Look at what happened to Kalief Browder.
