Of course you can choose any option you wish without explaining, but if you think puppies and kittens started WWII, you should make the case for that somehow.

Well kittens are nice by and large but puppies are smelly and stupid. If you put puppies and kittens in the same place when they're still puppies and kittens they will just accept each other anyway and be friends when they group just like brothers and sisters. One explanation for WWII was that puppies and kittens would not play with Adolph Hitler and that warped his personality.

Absolutely amazing about how they have become invaluable to us mere humans. Fantastic companions.

So far all votes are that puppies and kittens are nice. What? They try to bite off each other's faces and kick off each others back ends. Do you think they're just "play" fighting? I can't believe you fell for that old trick. They don't really bite off each other's faces or kick off each other's back ends because they're too weak. They couldn't if they tried.
The irony is they have no reason to try. They get everything they need from others with no effort of their own.
Watch when life gets more difficult for them.

No offensive, and I hope this is more of just a "fun" poll, but this is an example of how not to write polls. Is not being able to open their eyes much really a separate answer, or any different than them being too sleepy? If the goal is to find out whether people view pets as nice or mean then those are really the only two answers that should be on there. The rest are answers that have nothing directly to do with the question being asked.

People are welcome to use their own nuanced definitions of course, but it generally means mildly pleasant or agreeable. It was not always so. According to Merriam-Webster The English word nice came from an Old French word with the same spelling that meant “foolish.” This Old French word came in turn from a Latin word nescius that meant “ignorant.” ... Later it came to mean “finicky” or “fussy.” Not until the 1700s did nice come to mean “pleasing” or “pleasant.”Opinions might vary on how "nice" a puppy is who cries all night. Puppies are poorly equipped to deal with that experience. They are party animals.

If the goal is to find out whether people view pets as nice or mean then those are really the only two answers that should be on there. The rest are answers that have nothing directly to do with the question being asked. "They can't open their eyes too long" refers to the fact that for about one to two weeks after being born puppies and kittens literally cannot open their eyes. That is whether they are awake or asleep. It should be rephrased, "For too long they can't open their eyes," but I chose the more casual phrasing. "They are too sleepy" refers to actual sleep as in no activity. Whether a creature is "nice" or "mean" sometimes ignores things beyond their control. Puppies that cry all night might yet be considered "nice" because the crying is beyond his control. Of course others might disagree and say such a puppy is not nice. All we need here is a new debate on freewill for some real "fun."

Of course, kittens are better than puppies. The differences between adult cats and dogs are not as marked between kittens and puppies, but you can say "other" in the poll if you like. Dogs have different jobs; herding, hunting, guarding. Cats are mousers on a good day.

I'm interested in knowing what your point is with this poll? Obviously you're getting at something other than just whether or not kittens and / or puppies are "nice".
To answer your question though, I would say since they don't understand the concept of "nice" or "mean" they're niether. They're just puppies or kittens.. running mostly on instict.
