Perhaps I'll be proven wrong but the Han Solo standalone movie seems really unnecessary. We've already seen a young Han Solo in Episode 4.
What's the point? It isn't daring or innovative. When I first heard about the concept of standalone movies, I thought they were going to take risks with the franchise. So far we've gotten a story about the Death Star plans, and now a movie on a character who already was a main character in 4 movies. There are so many more creative ideas they could do like:
- a Star Wars Crime Story. Set it on Tatooine/Coruscant and explore the rise of the Hutt syndicate. It could feature bounty hunters, Imperial forces, smugglers, Tusken Raiders, Jawas, Gamorrean guards, etc.
- an actual Rogue Squadron movie. It could follow a band of the Rebel forces finest pilots on daring missions set in space. After the space fight in Episode 3, I'm very interested in seeing something like that.
- a movie set before Episode 1 showing the creation of the Sith/Jedi.
- Hell, even a movie showing R2-D2's "early days" before Episode 1 would be a far more brave story to undertake. Droids could be front and center as the main characters.
- They could even choose to make an alien the main character of a movie. There's a huge catalogue of species to choose from.

You should try to IDK narrate your videos... Or maybe just post the pictures without a video (they call them galleries).

Wow, that was impressive. Kudos to the makers, the underlying soundtrack describes my feelings about that thing better than words could ever do.

Perhaps I'll be proven wrong but the Han Solo standalone movie seems really unnecessary. We've already seen a young Han Solo in Episode 4. Nailed it. There's literally not a single thing that's gonna happen in the "young Han" movie that's relatively or even remotely interesting. We know he's gotta save/acquire Chewie and the Falcon. The obligatory Sabacc game with Lando, a Boba Fett cameo, etc. etc. Prolly it'll be the first Star Wars movie in my lifetime that I don't see in the theater. And likewise for a lot of other people. And once you break that viewing pattern, it becomes pick and choose. And you've officially turned the Beatles into the Stones, as only Disney could in short and sickening order. Or rather: you've turned Star Wars, this incredible and generation-defining franchise -- the most successful ever, to boot -- that once captivated the world... into a slew of joyless, paint-by-numbers Marvel movies plodding along forever... Yawn... What was the question? No, I don't give a rat's ass about the Han movie no matter how many times it's pointed out that senile old Larry Kasdan, who ruined/poisoned both Episode VII and (as a result) every subsequent sequel stuck with the bleak reality his feeble old mind conceived out of some weird and sad desire to both spite Lucas and placate Harrison Ford's misplaced and contemptible "kill Han off" (to spite Lucas, whom Ford despises, and the fans of Star Wars, whom Ford despises even though he owes them everything) obsession that he carried around for thirty years, "co-wrote" it with his untalented hack son.

I don't have any venom for Kasdan. However, I was always weary of the interviews he gave where his ideas for Return of the Jedi ended in darkness for Han, Luke, and Leia. I remember the final image of Episode 6, if Kasdan had his way, would have been Luke essentially "walking off into the sunset" without anyone else with him, who would have died or been broken due to prior events. I was always like, "Uhhhhhh....what? Does he know these are family movies?" The interviews were prior to George Lucas selling the franchise, and the subsequent movies by Disney. I also remember many people on IMDB talking about how much of a hack George Lucas was for ending Episode 6 all happy like he did. Now they say differently since they've watched Episode 7. In the end, I don't think most people really know what they want.

I don't have any venom for Kasdan. I didn't until he botched the premise for the sequel trilogy and, therefore, virtually every subsequent Disney Wars movie out of some demented attempt to troll Lucas and placate Ford/Kennedy. Now I'm not such a huge fan.

Is this Han Solo? Or American Graffiti : A Star Wars Story? Either way, it looks like hot garbage. It will almost definitely be the first Star Wars theatrical release in my lifetime that I don't come out and pay to see at the cinema.

I'll c it. But defiantly not say 20 times or twice the same day. This movie looks like American Graffiti & Mad Max had a kid.
