Lingesan (Vikram) is a bodybuilder trying to get fame by doing competition, but he's also in love with Diya, a famous model that appears on TV and magazines. He finally meets her just before her carreer is in danger as a very famous male model harasses her and she refuses his advances. Lingesan comes to her help by doing a photoshoot with her but he attracts the hate of several people in the following weeks and will take revenge on them. This is a love/action movie. I came to this movie as I'm a fan of Amy Jackson, but I discovered her as she plays in Indian movies. The first movie I saw her in, Yevadu, was quite average, and I had not much hope this movie would be good (I'm French and watch a lot of Bollywod movies, and I is a tamil movie, which I'm not used to, as I prefer the comedy and romantic movies from Bollywood). So I started watching this movie, that, early in the movie uses a storyline that mixes two different points in time, and only reveals how they're linked near the end. The characters of Lingesan and Diya are introduced with his friends and sports job for Lingesan and work for Diya, and they're likeable from the start, they grow as their enemies are attacking them mercilessly. Shankar, the Director, uses some CGI for some action or dreamlike scenes, but it looks quite natural. The cinematography is great, with some nice landscape views. So it's a mix of action, romance and revenge movie, but the Director and actors do the job so well it doesn't seem illogical or stupid, and I had strong emotions watching it. My very deep regret is they never released it on Blu-ray as the image is very important here.
