Who is your favourite artist who is virtually unknown outside their own country?
For example, I'm rather fond of Marty Rhone, a 1960s/1970s pop singer who is virtually unknown outside of Australia.

The Tragically Hip are huge in Canada but I doubt they play to more than a few 100 people outside of it, except maybe in US border cities that get Canadian radio.

Blue Rodeo is another band that were big, not quite as big or for as long as The Hip, but just couldn't crack the US market. That's them as Streep's band in Postcards From The Edge. |
