There's that story with the groupie and the mud shark, but most damning is the plagiarism accusations that...well, are a little more than just accusations.

Actually, "do" is correct. Led Zeppelin is a "they."

Actually, Led Zeppelin is technically an "it" since it's the group/band. It's a collective noun, which in this context all the members are being referred to equally as a single unit; therefore, the proper form is singular.
An example would be during football games: "The band is taking the field." Not "The band are taking the field."

British usage for collectives considers them plural.
Back to the issue: I never cared for LZ. Not sure I've ever heard one of their albums in toto.
I dined a couple tables away from Robert Plant back in 1988.

Great musicians. However, I could run a dictionary through a paper shredder and come up with better lyrics. "If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now. It's just a spring clean for the May Queen." Really? How many countless people have analyzed the lyrics to Stairway.

Yes, they deserve the praise. Who cares about all that other stuff? The thing to remember, and this is the most important, Rat. When it comes down to making out, whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV.

Like them or not they sure could lay down a good groove.

We were stinkers to come up with our own version of "English" after breaking away, yet the modified language is still tied to England by it's appellation.
