burning your flares at both ends




here in the kingdom of the heart
the subject of
military's playing a part
had long since been forgotten.


even after the war pigs were all thought rotten
and dismissed for 
a
gross lack of evidence as to why
anyone still needed
fusion satellites dancing in the sky
to achieve 
a parity with misunderstanding
why.


still 
archives are archives
so
if and when a child should happen to cry
i remind them:
there are indeed thousands of way in which to die
but
ignorance
should never be 
one of them.
