We all know 'Flashpoint' is about the Flash going back in time and f'ing up the time line.
Now, they make sure to tell us that it's a 'flashpoint' film.
They purposely used Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohen as Thomas and Martha Wayne. Otherwise they would have been 'no-name' actors or actresses.
I have a feeling about this. I think it's going to give the DCEU a 'soft' reboot.
Perhaps change the events of Man of Steel and BVS? idk... That is why Matthew Vaughn said his Superman would be bright and optimistic with hope?

Well..... I'm not sure if they always intended for Flashpoint to be the DCEU's soft reboot, since Zack chose the Wayne's and pitched the flashpoint concept to Jeffrey Dean......but there's a good chance it's become their soft reboot.

Yep. They're rebooting the DCEU to move away from Snyder's nonsense.

Well for the first time you have a big name actor and actress playing Bruce Wayne’s parents. I always thought it was part of the plan ever since they casted them. I don’t think Lauren will be a female Joker though.
I expect to see this list:
Ezra Miller Jeffrey Dean Morgan Matthew Mcconaughey ( I would prefer as Eobard Thawne) Kiersey Clemons Ray Fisher Gal Gadot And Jason Momoa

I don't mean the real explanation - everyone knows the DCEU is a mess that needs correcting. I mean in terms of story. Wonder Woman and Aquaman look the same so why does Batman look different?

Look up Flashpoint comic or animated movie and find out I watched the cartoon ages ago and either I can't remember or the question wasn't answered sufficiently well.

It's probably gonna be their "Days of Future Past".

I'm not referring to you when I say this, because you might actually be right, but that concept is hilariously stupid. Would your plan ever be to start a universe and 4 films in undo it all? The hilarious part is that they might actually do it.

It's probably gonna be their "Days of Future Past". I hope this turns out better than Fox's DoFP, which ended up fixing nothing.

Does the beginning of Days of Future Past take place in the old timeline? Because if so, they were all about to die from those Sentinels in the beginning.

Probably to cash in on a popular storyline. They did it recently on The Flash tv series.

I don't really think so. Wasn't Flash time jumping already a part of BvS, when he appears to Bruce warning him of Superman and asking if he is too early in time? It seems part of the plan, and it's a very popular story in the DC mythology, they would be crazy not to use it.
A Soft Reboot usually means a formal continuation of the story (with new generations and characters) but rehashing of former evens (a la Force Awakens).

Force Awakens wasn't a reboot in any sense. It was a senseless sequel.
