I can't believe this got good reviews. Even the sheep know this is bad?
Michael Rooker was the only redeeming value of the film.

You will never find a more wretched hive of uninspired tropes and juvenile humor. A few dialogue examples: Except in a DC movie. Drax's line about Beauty and Ugliness was better than anything that came out of Diana's mouth in WW.

Not if you were expecting a fun space opera film about a bunch of former criminals trying to be good guys.

I actually liked GotG. It reminded me of 1980s sci-fi comedies. I don't particularly care for the MCU, but I did like that film. So when I saw GotG Vol. II I was shocked by the good word of mouth and reviews. 5/10 for me.

But GOTG2 is one of the best character pieces in comic book filmmaking, so you might have missed the point?
It is incredibly introspective in terms of exploring what family means from several different angles, which is why splitting the sisters up and exploring how it's Nebula who was the good one, or having Mantis experience Drax's emotions to reveal that he just doesn't express them, or the nature of insecurity with Rocket, and of course father's and son's with Starlord and Ego.
It was a beautiful film.

The first one was better. A fast-paced, and action packed movie. The Sequel was too slow, too long and too boring for me. Hope Vol.3 doesn't go the same way.

Well fast-paced and action packed doesn't automatically make it a better movie. The character development in 2 was awesome. I tend to appreciate that sort of thing instead of being bored by it. I mean action can be extremely boring if there's no point to it. This movie was great if you ask me.

I actually liked it more than the first one (which I thought was EXTREMELY overrated).

I enjoyed it but I did think it tried too hard to emulate the original movie in trying to be as irreverent and 'edgy'. Even the first one is not as funny as it believes itself to be. But that worked in its favor to make it seem more rough around the edges than usual Marvel fare. Some of the humor in volume 2 was just obnoxious and unnecessary.

Superhero movies doesn't have any character development. All they can impress with, are action and special effects. Nothing more.

I liked it much better than the 1st one but still too many lame unfunny jokes in it.

I thought it tried hard to be quite different. It splits the characters up and becomes an introspection of who they are. That's really nothing like the first one, and I really can't name any moment that obnoxiously tried to reference the first. What are you referring to exactly?

And one rose growing on top of a heap of famously giant turds cannot cover up the stench.

No, she'd appreciate his honesty and then make some noxious platitude over it later. And yes, one good line does stand out against a bunch of natural dialog. Especially if it's a more true statement that something as pathetic "Love can save the world". I'm sorry you dislike realistic dialog that much. People DO mention stuff like turds and insult one another when they're angry.

I'm sorry you dislike realistic dialog that much. calm down samy or that nasty fanboy rash will come haunting you again. And I'm truly sorry that in your nerdy world nipples, turd and penis dialogue is considered "natural", but love and world saving isn't. Read and learn about the tricky duality of human nature: Actually, I take the rose comment back: one beautiful rose can sometimes really make forget the raccoon turd stench...only love can save the world and you from fanboy rashes

I liked it more than the first one. I laughed more and the villain was better.
