There have been a lot of epic deaths, from Frigga's awesome battle with Malekith and subsequent Viking royal funeral, to Dr. Erskine's assassination at the hand's of the Nazi's, and the surprise revelation of Howard and Maria's brutal murder by the Winter Soldier. And then you have the emotional death of T'Chaka at the UN bombing, Quicksilver's noble sacrifice to save a child from Ultron, Daniel Drumm defending the NY sanctum from Kaicileus, Peggy Carter's long history in the MCU paid off with a glorious funeral, and Yondu's epic badass save of Starlord.
Which is the biggest? Which is the best? Which is your favorite?

Most epic death? Probably my willingness to spend money on their movies again after paying to see Iron Man 3! ![](https://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/epicrapbattlesofhistory/images/1/1f/Rimshot.gif/revision/latest?cb=20161028172045)

Friggas death was the best narratively speaking, it served the plot of the film by emphasizing Malkeths uncompromising approach, united Thor and Loki on common grounds and gave Natalie Portmans character a purpose.

I agree. I'm actually really glad you articulated that. It was a very cool death and actually one you didn't expect. The entire scene played beautifully.

I like the subsequent funeral scene and music thats played over it; very emotive and gives her death some weight in the context of Asguard. Hopefuly its touches upon in some way in Thor 3.

The best MCU death will be, if someone of the major heroes, will die in Avengers 3 and 4.

Yondu. I almost cried the three times that I saw it. Yondu is really running away with this one. I loved his death. It was incredible and done in a perfect way. I even love the little set ups with Starlord's mask getting shattered, and Yondu's arrow breaking, both of which needed to happen to make the death work. But I have to say, I found the epic nobility and funeral of Frigga to be the cream of the crop so far. Her funeral was amazing, and her death was crazy heroic and came out of nowhere. I'm glad they gave the character such an important part to play, and it all tied into how Malekith got the scars on his face. Thor busting in a little too late. Awesome shit.

The best MCU death was when Spider-Man: Homecoming straight-up MURDERED the MCU's continuity, thus necessitating an entire reboot of this failed cinematic universe.
