These are the only movies that seem to get made these days. An occasional Horror movie also but rarely anything else. 😕

You're ONLY watching what THE STUDIOS are offering you... Might I suggest checking out foreign films (This includes films that are in English, but made outside the US) and/or independent films made by the smaller studios or aspiring maverick filmmakers who show great potential.
Of course, there's always looking through Hollywood's MASSIVE back catalog of films that deserve more love, but were overlooked at the time due to a bigger film being released. (ex. The Thing (1982) was overshadowed by E.T)

Yeah all the oscar contenders this year... Nothing but a bunch of superheroes, sequels and cartoons. Oh yeah, and horror movies too. Cinema content is so thin these days.

That is absolute nonsense. They make up maybe 25% of the U.S. movies that are released every year and while that is more than I would like, it certainly isn't all the movies that are made.
