Why hasn't who run into whom?! So many D-listers I can't keep them all straight... Wait, is it "who run into whom," or "whom run into who"? "Or who run into who"?! I don't think it's "whom run into whom," as that doesn't sound right...

She had a one nighter with both Groot and Rocket Raccoon so she has been avoiding them.

I think the bigger question is why she was never mentioned in the previous movies when it appears Nick Fury knows of her existence and he didn't ask her to help the other Avengers when they could have used her help. I am looking forward to seeing the movie but I think it would have made more sense to have had her introduced in the present timeline than the 90s 'cause then they wouldn't have to explain where she was all that time. I don't know if you ever read Carol Danvers' comic books but I own almost every one of them and she spent a lot of time on earth when she was Ms Marvel. That being said, I think Wonder Woman would have been better if they had set it in the present too or the 70s like the TV show.

If she were abducted or lost in space before receiving her powers, it would make sense that Nick wouldn't mention her. She'd be a source of shame and failure to him. If the so-called "Secret Invasion" began in the 90s and was somehow warded off by Nick and company, maybe the cost of that victory was a one-way ticket to Skrullos or Hala for Carol Danvers. A more interesting take on the Captain Marvel mythos would have been to make a movie about Carol Danvers, the fighter pilot and her efforts to repulse a fledgling alien invasion. If she is "lost" in that struggle and returns decades later with superpowers - as a result of Kree experimentation - this would all make a little more sense. SaveSaveSaveSave

Maybe we should see the movie before deciding what would have been better.

^get it? It's funny because he's a one-note gimmick poster working a schtick and this particular picture is thematically consistent with that. Innit?

SaveSaveSaveSave That is an interesting idea. I actually would have liked it more if they had introduced her as Ms Marvel first 'cause Carol Danvers spent 30 years going by that superhero name and the 'Ms Marvel' comic books were different than the 'Captain Marvel' comic books and featured Carol on earth more which I would have liked to have seen in the movies but with a new Ms Marvel who many are saying could be in the future movies I can see why they did it and I guess we will just have to wait and see what Marvel does with her. I am hoping if we get more than one movie of Carol Danvers we get to see some of the 'Ms Marvel' storylines played out on screen along with the villains.
