Yeah, and as far as movie mistakes go this one is fairly minor. It IS funny seeing detractors cling to it for dear life though. No, it's massive. It really isn't. At all. I'm amazed you guys are clinging to it so dearly.

It IS funny seeing detractors cling to it for dear life though. yeah I do not see why this is always highlighted so much as MCU seems full of this. For me one more jarring plot hole was the rainbow bridge debacle and the Thor-not-visiting-his-big-love-Jane when repaired, which contradicted everything we saw in the first movie. This was typically pseudo-resolved with a silly explanation and a bad joke: Jane slapping Thor in the face. Hahahaah, it's violent and funny. Bad writing only fanboys will buy. The Bifrost wasn't repaired until a little before Dark World, which was explained in the movie. It was Odin's power that teleported Thor to Earth in Avengers and Odin's power that brought him back.

Why then was he so tragically sad in movie1 about being separated from Jane if it's all so easy anyway? Talking about plot holes. What's the theory as to why Thor did not visit his beloved Jane, was he too busy to see her, I mean he can fly there quickly, no time for luvin and to tell the one you love how iz going..? Thor should have told Odin: "Yo daddy-o, cut mesa some slack down there, aight? Gotta install and clean da pipes, god mode style!" [gosh, a hoot and a holler that, I should have become MCU gag writer] I think he deserved that slap, but the writers all the more, aight?

No pleasing some people. Because he didn't know Odin could do that, until the situation called for it and they had to intervene to save Earth. Asgard is in a different Galaxy from Earth, Thor isn't selfish enough to ask his Dad to just zap him around like that (which is likely taxing). He wanted to, but the situation called for his attention. Seriously, stop asking to be spoonfed. This isn't Fox and DCEU.

(I wonder: is this deus ex machina writing a subform of artificial Odin boosters...?) in simpler terms: bad writing. Indeed, this is not Fox or DC.

No, it's internal consistency given that we knew Odin was supposed to be mega-powerful. It's better than the unexplained magic boat in WW. It's being internally consistent and remembering Odin's power. DC and Fox wouldn't have bothered explaining it at all and just have Thor appear with no explanation. Seriously, you can buy the magic boat and a weakling like Ares killing off the Greek Pantheon off-screen but you can't buy this? Just own up to the double standards.

Nah, you just need to do the word search. I even posted the solutions!

It really isn't. At all. I'm amazed you guys are clinging to it so dearly. It is, but you have to pretend it's not, because you'd be on suicide-watch if that reality actually sunk in (for whatever reason). In my opinion, you need to get over it. They're just movies, bruh! Don't let this massive continuity fuck-up get you down!

I'm just wondering why this is something you guys cling to so dearly. You don't see MCU fans pointing out how Clark basically told the Army he was Superman in MOS.

It'll be loaded with retcons. The timeline is already fucked. The attempts that I've seen to "repair" it have been laughable. Yep, the MCU timeline is seriously broken. The following thread has a link to an article which says "Marvel will construct a retconned version that undermines a variety of previous plot holes and create a new, overridden version." Kevin Feige is Wrong – The Timeline Is Seriously BrokenTheir best bet is to just say the Time Stone created a ripple effect in Doctor Strange. The article provides another solution: MCU should just release a Special Edition DVD and simply "adjust that “Eight Years Later” title card".

Their braindead followers wouldn't be able to handle that reality.
