Batman DCEU, Superman DCEU (I miss the bulge), Wonder Woman movie outfit was great, Captain America suit in Civil War, Some of the Iron Man suit upgrades were pretty good looking. I wish the X-Men movies had better outfits, the black leather is boring. The best we got was at the end of X-Men: Apocalypse.

i'm sorry but i really like the DCEU stuff, the materials they're using for suits are just wonderful.
and i still love Raimi's spiderman suit, a bit odd how peter somehow managed to make it.......but it looks good, Reeve's suit is great, and I do love Cap's 1st avenger suit

Wonder Woman's costume in the 70's looked horrible. It worked in the 70's the same way Spiderman's TV series costume worked in the 70's (or was it the 80's?). The only main change they did to Raimi's Spiderman was change the texture of the suit. The overall design remained mostly the same. That should give you an idea of how easy it was to bring the actual costume into a big modern blockbuster. For costumes like Thor and WW, you can't just change the texture and maintain the overall design, not if you wanted to be taken seriously in this modern era. So they had to do some redesigning. And that makes it more complicated. I think it's difficult to make the case that WW's 70s costume didn't work when it was part of a successful TV show. I take it you didn't like it, but it objectively worked because the audience had no problem with it. Spidey on the other hand failed as a TV show and the costume was one of the reasons why. He just looked horrible. That "texture of the suit" is not a minor detail. Without that, it looks like this: It continued just like that until the Rami films figured out how to do it right. If it was easy, they would have gotten it right in the 70s like they did with Superman. So.... I see you disregarded everything else I mentioned on my post. WW's TV show being successful and Spiderman's not being successful has very little to do with their costumes. There were a lot of other factors involved, for example the fact that WW at that time was a more well known superhero than Spiderman. But if you truly believed WW's costume wasn't an issue, do you think they could have used the exact same costume today and it would not get hated on? As I said previously, they only changed to texture and fit of Spiderman's suit. The basic design remained the same. WW's costume needed a whole design change. As for why they didn't change Spiderman's suit texture earlier, probably because they couldn't afford such a high-cost costume with such a low budget TV show.

DCEU costumes do look more expensive and quality-made than any other rival studios'. I don't always like the design, but I can't argue about the quality of the look.

WW at that time was a more well known superhero than Spiderman. I'm sorry, but this is blatantly false. I don't know how old you are, but it was a huge deal when they finally made a SM television show, as the character was already very famous ( trailing only Superman ) due not only to comic books, but also to daily cartoons on television, a recurring daily role on a PBS show, and a long running daily comic strip. A SM film was in production before Batman, X Men, or any other character other than Superman himself. I know all this for a fact, because I lived through it.

All I'm seeing is that they made WW work twice. Because your opinion that the 70s look was "horrible" is not supported by the reception it received at the time. So the idea that it's harder to make WW look good is not supported by facts. In fact they've done it twice. The Spidey show failed and that costume is indeed "horrible". How could anyone take that look serious? It certainly wasn't about how well known he was...the Hulk show worked even though he was even less well known than Spidey. It was about a lot of things...casting, scripts, and that hokey costume. And there is really only one option with the Spidey suit design so that's why it couldn't work until someone figured out how to make it work. That's exactly why it's harder than other costumes. What exactly are you going to change? You've got to go with how he looks.

So your reasoning of "there is really one option with Spidey suit design" is completely off. So basically what you're telling me is that if the WW movie had used the exact same costume used in LInda Carter's show that audiences would think it was great? Get out of here with that crap.

Are you that emotionally invested in that idea? You think the Spidey costume is easy to put onscreen and I do not. No idea what a version of the 70s WW costume would do today because they didn't try it. Obviously they would alter the "texture" today. The point remains that it wasn't difficult to make it work in the 70s even with the limitations of the time. It easily was easier to do than the Spidey costume. Even today, they didn't have to change it that much for WW. It's still got the colors and overall scheme. Still bare legs and strapless top. They basically just removed the stars from the shorts. It's not like they had to change it to something like this: "Variations" on the Spidey suit don't change very much. It's always been a blue and red body suit with web designs and the same mask. There's just not much you can change. You can alter the colors very little...it's always going to be red and blue (with perhaps a Venom version at some point) with the web stuff on it. Other characters like Thor and Cap can have a very different costume...but Spidey always has to look close to his design. Very little latitude with Spidey.

Speaking of WW's costume in the DCEU: does anyone else dislike that they gave her that skirt? Her outfit just isn't complete without a star spangled cameltoe...
Innit?

As a kid I thought these costumes were super cool looking and I remember having all the toys. I just really liked the black and silver combo. Today as an adult? I like them for entirely different reasons, mainly of course because of the nipples on Batgirl and Robin. Spidey's suit in Homecoming is my favorite Spidey suit today and another I really enjoyed was Cap's suit at the beginning of Winter Soldier. I really wish he'd stick to that one as it just looked simple but bad ass. Think somebody called it his stealth suit in here so that one. I wish I could pick an X-Men suit but none of them have been anything impressive other than Pyslocke's which helps because Olivia Munn is gorgeous so it looks even better on her.
