I saw the trailer with A CURE FOR WELLNESS. It seemed like a Purge movie mixed with Office Space.

I didnt really expect a much from it, BUT I ended up really loving it! I think the RT score doesnt do it justice. I would have rated it 70 myself. It was fun, really thrilling, killing was bat shit gore but kinda fun and inventive at the same time, I liked many of the character and loved the build up. Overall a great movie going experience for me, would recommend.
at the end of the screening we half expected a voice coming from the inter-com to say "half of you need to die in the next 30 minutes", or something like that, because it was so suggestive. Go see it and enjoy.

if you get grossed out with gore then maybe this is not perfect for you, but you could just look away for 30 seconds at time after these sentences "we are americans" "you failed" and also whenever the radio is on in the movie

On one hand, I could see this because I need some catharsis for work right now (I work in an office lol and things aren't going so well ). I don't mind blood or even the occasional gore, but I've never done well with movies like the Saws (II-VII), Hostel, Green Inferno, etc, where it seems that much of the movie centers around bloodiness and dismemberment.

Go. ESPECIALLY if your work is bad now. It will help, I think, to alleviate some of the negative feelings from work. You will come out wanting to hug kittens instead. :-)

I thought this movie was a total blast. I love that James Gunn is still doing exploitation even after hitting it big with GOTG.

I just saw it and while I was expecting a cheap direct to dvd type film, I was pleasantly surprised at how (somewhat) good it was. The gore and humor was cool and a few scenes had me on the edge of my seat.

I enjoyed it for the film it was. I could've done without Shaun Gunn though. Overall, enjoyable. 6/10

Do you think there was enough additional material that wasn't in the trailer to make it worthwhile? TIA Save

nora, did you see a trailer before going? The one I watched was just like most modern trailers which are very nearly Cliff's Notes versions of the movies. Do you think there was enough additional material that wasn't in the trailer to make it worthwhile? TIA SaveYes I did see the trailer before going. I agree, many trailers show too much these days. But this one I felt was ok because while it showed the basic premise (black guy meeting white girls parents for the first time, things get weird, hypnosis is included, people act strange and you dont know if its because they are robots, zombies, aliens, vampires, kkk, some other kind of psychopaths or just odd old white folks behaving like odd old white folks sometimes do) it did not give away the most important: if the odd old white folks are robots, zombies, aliens, vampires, kkk, some other kind of psychopats or just odd old white folks behaving like odd old white folks sometimes do. So for me the trailer didn't spoil anything - I went into the movie not knowing where the problem is, and kept wondering about it for good 3/4 of the movie. Go and enjoy. Its worthwhile even if you have seen the trailer. UNLIKE LIFE! What a load of crap that movie is….just writing a review and not pleased.
