Is it Satan making us say these things or do we just hate anyone different than us?

why did you censor yourself on only one of them and what was it that made you single that one out?

What if there was another civilization on another planet where words like "poverty" and "injustice" struck you the same way?

Couldn't guess what it says about you, but it does reflect a conditioned reflex that's widespread among - but by no means limited to - Americans: a greater tendency toward public censorship concerning sexual matters than toward hateful or demeaning expression. Both arbitrary and odd from any logical viewpoint. Another more general observation: epithets directed at any racial, ethnic, national or sexual groups one can think of, including females, number in three digits, but I can think of only one - a relatively mild one, at that - specifically representing males. Interesting.

The trouble is that many words are not even slurs or profanity unless used as slang and meant to be that definition. EG.- A Faggot is a bundle of sticks (twigs etc) use as kindling to start a fire. This is why in British slang they refer to a cigarette as a 'Fag'.

C^nt, Faggot, and n****r. What does that say about us as a species? We are kind of a hateful bunch. You got to remember there are millions of people that never say any of those words. So as a species you can't lump us altogether.

Is it Satan making us say these things or do we just hate anyone different than us? IMPO - Most definitely Satan he is always very intrusive and brings out the worst in all of us as the human race goes here on earth ( on the whole we also tend to be very impressionable beings as well ? ) . As the old saying goes on earth " nobody is perfect " . Thanks permutojoe for your subject post .

C^nt, Faggot, and n****r. What does that say about us as a species? We are kind of a hateful bunch. There's definitely something wrong with us. But since I believe in evolution I also believe that we will grow out of it. Not in our lifetimes of course, no, no, don't be silly, but one day.

I think the words will stop being popular when those offended by them no longer act like they are murder inducing words.
Just ignore them. What the people who call you names are looking for is a reaction. Be better than that. Be better than them. It's a trick and a trap, don't fall for it.

C^nt, Faggot, and n****r. What does that say about us as a species? We are kind of a hateful bunch. Words aren't vile, only the intention behind them is, faggot or fag for example are not actually bad words and have more meanings than just being homophobic slurs, fag is the what brits call cigarettes and there is a dish called faggot over here, c*nt is something I personally take little to no offense to but I find swear words don't get my goat much, I find other slurs such as racial or sexual ones far more disgusting to hear.
imo people need to be less concerned with words and more concerned with intent and attitudes, words change their meaning over time, hatred will always just be hatred no mater when it rears it's ugly head.
