First new thread on the new 'Arrow' board!!! Arrow Introduces DC Comics’ Onyx in Season 6www.cbr.com/arrow-season-6-onyx/It is awesome to see Onyx is finally joining 'Arrow.' I have been saying for years she would be a great character for the show and for those who are unaware of Onyx she appeared in a number of Green Arrow and Batman comic books over the years and more recently she was in the animated movie, 'Batman: Bad Blood.' I am not sure if this means we will see Orpheus in the show too but I think her connection to the 'League of Assassins' won't go unrecognised and it might lead to Talia being revealed to still be alive or the debut of Lady Shiva as the new head of the League. Hopefully with the writers adding Onyx we will get to see more female characters from the Green Arrow comic books too such as Arrowette (Cissie King Jones) and Hyrax with her group of environmental terrorists, Eden Corps.

I thought I read all the Batman titles before the New 52, but for the life of me I don't remember Onyx or the story arc "War Games."
Well you know what that means. To the library!

I also don't remember the character, and quickly read about her comic appearances online. It would be cool if Arrow had a Brother Blood resurgence funded by the League of Assassins. That's my fan theory hope!

Seems fitting.

Onyx delivered. I gotta hand it to them. She was an improvement from other female villains they've had and I like the thought of seeing her again but having bodyguard guy as the Green Arrow and Olicity back together is going to be a major downer this season. If I have to see them kiss again. Can't be worse than Spiderturd though. They should have called that one Attack of the swinging turd. No. Scratch that. There was Suicide Squad and Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Suicide Squad is shit, and rightfully gets an immense amount of hate, yet for some peculiar reason people love Guardians. The first was entertaining, yet the second went down harder than a diabetic after a sugar rush!

I didn't mind the first 'Guardians of the Galaxy' but the second one was kinda silly and the throwing poop around and putting it in people's bed jokes were just sick and immature and reminds me of some of the boys in my old primary school that used to do poops in their undies when they went to the public pool and threw them at each other. People shouldn't play with poop. It is creepy and demented and there has to be something SERIOUSLY wrong with an adult to think playing with it is fun in my opinion but apparently some people loved those jokes and thought they were awesome. if I had to chose out of the two I thought 'Suicide Squad' was a better film.

Finally, two individuals of sense! I too thought Suicide Squad was more entertaining, however worse technically. Both movies were terrible though.
That's fuckin' disgusting. Kids did that? Ew. I agree, 'poop' isn't funny. The entire movie was packed full of childish gimmicks. I'm not sure how many times the director (James Gunn) had to show us a slow motion shot of the enemies pulling silly faces. I'm with you two, something must be wrong with the public to find it funny. Shit is disgusting.

Yes. They were and while I wouldn't go as far to call 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' a stinking pile of dogshit like Beccy I think it was one of the most disappointing superhero movies I have seen in recent times and feel it was a mistake to reboot Spider-Man at the start again when they already did that twice and would have preferred an older and more experienced Spider-Man. The new Spider-Man seemed so useless and the one thing that really turned me off 'Homecoming' completely was in the comic books and all the animated shows and live action movies was when Peter Parker put on the Spider-Man costume people thought he was a man and he was a different person who was more confident, heroic and mocked villains and this goes back to the early Spider-Man comic books which I own where in the movie it was obvious to everybody he was a teenage boy and he looked like a teenage boy going to a Halloween party. I didn't buy him as Spider-Man and I feel they took the geek and turned it up to 11 and the character came across as too immature. Both 'Guardians of the Galaxy 2' and 'Suicide Squad' suffered from poor writing and I still feel it was a mistake to make a 'Suicide Squad' movie so early and it should have been 'Teen Titans' (DC's biggest selling team series) that had the first team movie followed by Justice league, Birds of Prey, Justice Society of America, the Legion of Superheroes, Red Hood and the Outlaws and then Suicide Squad and Gotham City Sirens but that is just me and a lot of my friends thought 'Suicide Squad' was way too early too.
Sadly some kids did do that when we were in primary school and they did it to get some type of sick thrill and I never saw it 'cause I refused to go on the excursions to our local public pool but some of my friends that did told me all about it and they were doing poops in their undies and getting them out and throwing them at people and peeing in the pools. I have heard of a few gross things that happen at public pools which is why I would never get in one. Something is definitely wrong with the public. I mean you have people with poop fetishes that watch poop porn and eat other people's poop so maybe they were trying to appeal to that audience.

That word sums up the 3 movies for me. I couldn’t get into them because they were too immature. There is an important difference between good and popular, and while I can’t argue Spiderman Homecoming wasn’t successful because it has already made loads of money, I can argue its lacks quality and substance and fails to live up to the potential of its beloved source material, subverting its own agenda by becoming a remarkably generic, teen movie that falls flat on its face. Guardians of the Galaxy 2 is an aggressively, irritably immature movie, a potty-mouthed fantasy come to life that somehow mistakes itself for a superhero movie but reeks of geek posturing and lacks real depth. Suicide Squad is macho porn -- the macho boy movie Hollywood has been moving toward for years, in which any decent narrative and dialogue is replaced by all-guy locker-room fights with a crazy woman and one of the goombas from Super Mario Bros for fun. Women, who have had a lifetime of practice at dealing with little-boy posturing, will instinctively see through it; men may get off on the testosterone rush, if they are adult manchilds living in a caravan. They all lacked substance and style like most of today’s superhero movies but substance is not important when you are targeting an audience that will go and see a movie on its company.
