Not counting FvJ or the remake for this exercise.

Part 5 is probably the worst as a movie, but it's so bad it's good. On the other hand, aside from Jason's look and Hodder, I find Part 7 just kind of dull. The death scenes were "butchered" by the MPAA, the characters suck, and I hate the concept of throwing a telekinetic girl into the series to fight Jason. I know it's a fanfav, but I just can't get into it.

Goes to hell
I remember liking it as a kid but in perspective if the rest of the series it just doesn't fit and is pretty cheesy.

I had to bail out on Jason Takes Manhattan halfway through. Found it really dull and the events of the film wholly contradicted the marketing. Should have been called Jason Takes A Boat. It's the worst one I've seen.

Wow, I'm surprised by the votes for Jason Takes Manhattan, that's one of my favorites just because it's so ridiculous and fun to watch.
I would have thought Part 5 would be more disliked.

I always thought part 5 was pretty good. But it doesn't have Jason punching a guy's head off!

Jason Takes Manhattan. Crap movie. But punching that guy's head off was special. I didn't mind this one too much. The title was a reach. Due to budget constraints, he's just shambling round the docks for a bit.

Thanks for so far confirming my choice, Jason Goes to Hell. Even Jason in Spaaaaaaace is good for the lolz and a brutal death scene.

Only 1 vote for Jason X? Jason Goes to Hell was at least creative. That movie was so stupid it’s crazy. The only thing I can give it credit for was Kane Hodder’s performance and some awesome kills.

Jason Takes Manhattan. As bad as Jason Goes To Hell is, it's at least reaching for something creatively. Manhattan just reeks of desperation and the series truly feels like it's running on fumes for the first time (I genuinely love The New Blood, sue me).

Jason Goes to Hell' was my last favourite of the series. Jason turning into a demon worm that could take over people's bodies was one of the biggest continuity errors I have seen in a Horror movie franchise and it would have been one thing if they had done it in the second or third movie but when it is the ninth movie in a franchise it made no sense how he could suddenly do it. Plus a lot of people complain about 'Jason Takes Manhattan' not having Jason in the city much but he at least went there at the end whereas Jason never goes to hell in 'Jason Goes to Hell' and I assumed we were going to see him do that and find out how he kept coming back to life when I first saw the movie.
