What's the biggest mistake the architects of the MCU have made thus far? No matter how diehard and zombified you may be, you have to acknowledge that they've been asleep at the wheel on more than one occasion. Hee hee hee...
It sticks in my bony craw that Guillermo del Toro and Neil Gaiman's treatment for the Doctor Strange movie was rejected. Together, they could have brought us a Lovecraftian vision of terror and the unknown. Instead, we got the "Disney delights" version which wasn't horrendous for what it was but, it is far from my favorite entry in the franchise.
What do you think was their greatest blunder? Hee hee hee...

They haven't really done a whole lot wrong, judging by their successes.

The Mandarin blunder, which they then tried to rectify in some Marvel short but it will lead to nothing.

It screwed up their timeline so much that MCU is now scrambling to come up with a new timeline (which MCU Dictator Kevin Feige himself has confirmed that MCU will release soon) that's going to retconn most of MCU's previous movies.

The 8yrs think is hardly hurting the MCU. Just another attempt for you to attack the MCU. Like I said earlier, you could learn a thing or two about Patty! But it's not like everyone pays attention to little details like that. And as usual, you'd know that calling Feige a dictator is an unfair assessment. But like usual, you pretend to things about the movie industry when you really don't, then you play coy about it when you're called out on it which me and others have done.

Not having more prominent female characters, off the top of my head.
This is mainly due to Ike Perlmutter's interference and he's been gone from the movies for about 2 years now which is why it's changing.

Not giving Scarlett Johansson her own Black Widow movie, CA:TWS, A:AOU & even CA:CW all gave perfect openings for them to spin off into a Widow movie, which could be done for far less money than the typical MCU film, not feature any "super"heroes but instead focus on Black Widow and if need be feature only roles for the likes of Hawkeye, Fury or Hill, it wouldn't be a world ending threat but a more personal story for the character having to confront her past, Marvel made a mistake not giving the character, the actor or the fans this film imo.

The Mandarin twist; Iron Man 2; Darcy Lewis; the timeline in Homecoming; and the fallout between Marvel and Edgar Wright.

and the fallout between Marvel and Edgar Wright. Eh, I know the Edgar Wright thing hit a nerve for plenty of people...but that was his fault too you know. He sat on his behind for years on Ant-Man making little to no progress when he knew he had a schedule and him not doing anything is what kept the MCU from giving us Hank Pym and Janet earlier on and stuff like involving him in the Ultron plot.

Lord Death Man I'd love it if you had your own regularly-printed newsletter, about a variety of subjects. I can just imagine it now:

The Mandarin blunder, which they then tried to rectify in some Marvel short but it will lead to nothing. Iron Man 3 is to me the only real blunder of the MCU, and even with the Mandarin reveal disappointment, the out of place Iron Patriot Armor, Paltrow defeating the main villain and Shane Black directing this as if he were directing a Lethal Weapon Sequel (the final fight on the boat really felt a lot like LW2), i still would watch this over any of the DCCU (with possigbly the only exception of WW) and the FOX-Man movies (with the only exception of Deadpool).
