No, he wasn't. Zod was killed while trying to harm an innocent family. That's no different than an armed robber who's holding a hostage getting shot and killed by a cop. The cop wasn't acting as judge, jury, and executioner. The cop was doing his duty to protect innocent lives.
An example of a cop acting as judge, jury, and executioner would be if the armed robber had surrendered and was placed under arrest and then the cop shot the robber in the back of the head. If Zod had surrendered and then Superman killed him, then Superman would've acted as judge, jury, and executioner. But Zod didn't surrender and was trying to harm an innocent family so Superman just used lethal force to stop Zod from harming innocent people, just like when a cop shoots an armed robber who's threatening to kill a hostage. That's not judge, jury, and executioner.
In Cap's situation, Bucky had been arrested. Cap decided that Bucky shouldn't have to stand trial for his crimes and should be set free. So Cap aided and abetted Bucky to escape from the authorities. Cap basically appointed himself judge and jury (just like Stalin, Castro, and Saddam Hussein did). 1 person appointing himself judge and jury - that's often the 1st step towards tyranny.
sure most of them were likely unwavering sycophants who would stand by Zod regardless but some would have likely if not turned on their own atleast stood down given how following Zod to that points really done them no favours.
None of them would've stood down. They were bred to be soldiers. As soldiers, they would follow the orders of their commanding officer, who was General Zod.

And weren't Kal's parents bred to fulfil certain roles and follow Kryptonian doctrine, as was Zod yet the El's went against the laws of Krypton and had a child naturally, and Zod was so extreme he broke the laws he was meant to uphold, killed the people he was meant to protect, so if Zod can follow his engineered purpose to such an extreme he breaks the laws why couldn't any of his followers ultimately grow tired of his extremism and when offered a choice beyond die or fight take it?
They maybe engineered but they are still sentient beings capable of their own thoughts, feelings and desires to be who they want and not what they are meant to be, it's a idea storytellers have used for a long time, you look at a bnch of shows on TV have done the sleeper spies who were raised to serve their country but ultimately turn on them because of their own morality.

He protected an innocent man from wrongful persecution, as no one was going to give him a trial and were hoping to just kill him. He fought against an unjust persecution.

It doesn't bother me. I'll go see Justice league and then go home and watch Punisher over the weekend. It's a win-win for me! Same here

Same here I'll probably do the reverse, binge Punisher then see JL Sunday, I prefer finishing up on a happier note and I doubt Punisher will end with puppies and rainbows for all.

So being short and physically inept and skinny and too lazy to exercise and train means you can take a shortcut to get an advantage? And Bucky can argue that defense in front of a jury. It's for a jury to decide if Bucky committed the murders of his own intent or if Bucky was under the influence of someone else. But Cap didn't believe in trial by jury and believed that he should be the sole judge and jury. So Cap basically spit on the Constitution and decided to be a tyrant. Rogers earned the right to be Captain America because he had the will and determination needed to represent the ideology of the United States and was an all around good person, his personality made him the best choice in the eyes of Professor Erskine. Bucky wasn't going to get a trial, he would have no place or time to tell his story to anybody. The media had reported that Bucky was wanted by the law. Bucky was arrested in public after a chase through a busy thoroughfare so there were plenty of witnesses who saw the police arrest Bucky. So there was no way the government could cover up Bucky's arrest or hold Bucky without a trial because the media would've demanded to have access to the trial to report on it. So the government was definitely going to give Bucky a trial so Bucky's lawyers would have a chance to present their arguments to a jury. But like a tyrant, Cap appointed himself judge and jury and decided that Bucky shouldn't be punished for the 2 murders that he committed.

Actually, they wouldn't have known that was Bucky in the tunnel. Can you recognize every person you have seen on the news? Hell, some people can't recognize a celebrity if they talked to them. And there were no people in that area of the tunnel when they detained (not arrested) Bucky. You'd have some rubberneckers, but people don't get all that involved in a heavy accident when there are government officials on the scene to take care of it. Also, they wouldn't be looking at the homeless looking guy, but the guy in the robot suit, the guy in the red white and blue uniform, the guy with the wings, and the guy in the cat suit. Another thing: Why do you guys keep steering a topic off course?

Does anyone honestly think that one will have any sort of impact on the other?

You really are in no right to complain about Captain America breaking the law to help a friend when you watch bootlegged versions of movies on websites as opposed to being an honest and responsible citizen and pay to see them.
