Jessica Harper was born on October 10th, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Eleanor Harper (née Emery), a writer, and Paul Church Harper, Jr., a painter. She's an actress, singer, author and producer. She's written a juvenile survival cook book, numerous books for children and made several albums of songs for children. She was named by Parenting magazine as "Parent of the Month" in 2004. She's recorded with rock 'n' rollers Dan Hicks And His Hot Licks. Her filmography is pretty much immaculate, or as close as one can get, such is the quality of her decision-making. Jessica Harper is the living, breathing, working definition of cult. Jessica Harper

The name sounded familiar but I couldn't connect it with any movie... Dario Argento's Suspiria

Only one I've seen her in as well. Until the remake next year anyway.

'Inserts' is an intriguing drama. I'm thinking about buying 'The Whoopee Boys' on dvd, another John Byrum movie. Eddie Deezen is in it.

my review of SUSPIRIA on IMDB: You might prefer the upcoming remake. Be sure to check it out as it's due out soon. Not long now ... “I have three months until I finish it. It’s a very special film, and I’m proud of it. I wonder all the time how people will react to it, being that it is based on a masterpiece. I often find myself in the position of saying “Oh, it’s ridiculous!” when I hear stories that they want to remake a movie like 8½, so I don’t know if I’m going to be served the same dish. But I can say that my Suspiria is a very personal film; it’s like oxygen to me. When I saw the original movie thirty-two years ago, the emotion I felt was so strong, so mind-blowing, and so important to my upbringing. I wanted to investigate the experience I had watching that film.”
