I loved his stuff from the early 80's. Whats your last favourite one?
Just watching No More Lonely Nights(84) and thats probably the last one
Currently watching(fastforwarding) Top of the Pops 84 on BBC4 every Thu/Fri evenings and this one popped up this week

I liked Freedom (#97 in US 2001). Before that, nothing beyond the 1970s.

Often the hits aren't the songs I like best. So I'd have to go with Venus and Mars/Rock Show (1975). There are a few songs I like after that, but they're not hits.

His stuff from the 70s and early 80s are great. But after that not so much.

"Flowers In The Dirt" (1989) was the last album of his (not including Live, or Greatest Hits discs) that I bought. I like the song My Brave Face, and LOVE This One (as a side note, I was lucky enough to see him in concert just once (July 29, 1990, Soldier Field, SECOND ROW!), on the tour supporting this album......that show still remains the single best concert I've ever been to (though Billy Joel (MKE - 7/14/80), and Chicago (MKE - 8/11/79), are close seconds.... Springsteen (saw him twice, MKE - '84 & '92), was my third favorite, all-time)). Paul McCartney Discography at AllMusicSAVE FERRIS

(And those of you who know Paul's discography will appreciate the joke even more.)

The most recent one that I remember liking is Coming Up (1980). It's just too damn snappy.

I liked it when I first heard it, then later didn't like it anymore.

He reached his peak with Wings. Everything after that sucks.

Well, it's been awhile since he had a solo charting single in the U.S. The last few things he released that charted were those collaborations with Kanye and Rihanna--where Kanye and Rihanna were the primary artists. I didn't really care for those. Really McCartney's last solo charting single in the U.S. was all the way back in 2007, "Ever Present Past". I like that tune.
In general, I like the entirety of McCartney's solo and Wings work.
Driving Rain I'd put in the top five for McCartney or Wings albums.

tpfkar Don't know about 'hits', probably turn of the '80s. Which corresponds with my appreciation of his work. I really like a good 10-15% of what he did solo up to the mid-'80s, after 99% of what he did Beatles. good times going
