This kid was labeled as a disappointment when he broke in.
Now? After years of growth?
He's a stud.
Lovin' it.

Karl Anthony-Towns - already has a good reputation obviously but I hope he has a lot of success.
Jadeveon Clowney - I'd like him to really break out and have a career befitting a no. 1 pick. He's looked a lot better last year and this year.
Side note - what are Philly doing with Fultz? Isn't he noticeably injured?

Everybody is up in panic mode because he's not pulling the trigger from the outside (which is what they drafted him for to run with Simmons). His free throws are abysmal (they were in college too). He's changed his whole shooting technique. Everything is at this point 'top notch' secretive. I can care less. You watched this kid light it up in college and in the summer league - he can shoot. He's got shoulder issues. Shut him down for a couple weeks or whatever need be like the Clips shut Paul down and WOJ came out and said it was precautionary. Did I expect 0-3? Nope. Competitive against the Wiz on the road late game, Celts early 4th (two top teams in the East) and blown out by the Raptors in game 3 which Embiid sat. These were all teams expected to be in the upper echelon of the Eastern Conference. Always stated - they're struggle early. Takes time to gel and get used to one another. They'll show growth after the All-Star break and hover around .500 fighting for an 8th seed. Side note - yeah - Towns and Clowney stay out of trouble just like Wall - be nice to see them succeed.

anybody seeing what 'The Greek Freak' is doing for Milwaukee.....
this guy is sick.
not only stuffs the stat line with points and assists - he plays good 'D' and racks up rebounds, steals and blocks too

I don't know, man. Dude shoots FTs like an eight year old girl. If he's hurt that bad, they have to shut him down. I'd be worried he's either got an injury that's only going to get worse, or he's in his own head. It's early but I'm wondering of the C's dodged a bullet with that trade.

Why does the player have to break through if they're already a superstar?

Why does the player have to break through if they're already a superstar? because he needs to hit the next 'level' and put a team on his back and carry them to a championship. next.........

Fultz's agent:
So uh, what kind of people are working in Philly's medical staff?

Fultz's agent: So uh, what kind of people are working in Philly's medical staff? awesome stuff. that's sickening. anybody with half a brain could see his shoulder was 'shot'. this is going to be a firestorm around here. i really do question exactly what went on with Okafor's meniscus tear too. i get it's frustrating what went on over the years with noel, embiids, simmons injuries (and one could question whether it was part of the 'process' to tank to shut them down) - but you can't play people when they're hurt.....

In the already legendary words of Draymond Green to Mavs rookie Dennis Smith Jr. last night: "This ain't summer league, bro."

I'll be honest. I know what Green said was cool and a great "Welcome to the NBA, kid." But to be honest, Summer League is really a fantastic indicator of who is going to shine in the NBA. Since NBA TV started broadcasting Summer League I always jot down a few names of guys who really played well. I look back on my list, and 90% of the guys who were great in Summer League really do shine in NBA.
I am looking at my list now: - Some I got right were Okafor, Kyle Anderson of the Spurs, Andre Drummond, Porzingis - This year's list has Dennis Smith, Tatum on the Celtics, and Jonathan Isaac of the Magic (my choice for rookie of the year) - I did get these guys wrong: Russ Smith, Casper Ware, Marcus Thornton, and Maurice N'Dour of the Knicks

Sixers sit Fultz for the next 3 games: link: Fultz Put on ShelfSit the kid down until Christmas or after the All-Star Break I say. No need to rush this - he's a stud shooter. Get his shoulder and head right. He's exactly what they need - when eventually healthy. His shoulder is 'dead' right now according to his agent and the writer of this piece who sees him at practice. Can't lift his shoulder to shoot. Rest him, get him healthy - gun for that 8th spot after the All-Star break...... You know what. On second thought. They'll get a high pick next year. If the Lakers pick isn't between #2-#5 - it stays with them too and doesn't go to the Celts - so there's a potential to get 2 more lotto picks next year. The kid is 19. Shut him down. Long live 'The Process'

Has anyone watched Embiid and Simmons play? I mean, seriously. People keep criticizing the process, especially with the Fultz injury now, but it is obviously working. Simmons will win ROY in a landslide at this rate (Averaging almost a triple double) and Embiid is averaging 20 and 10.

Simmons will win ROY in a landslide at this rate (Averaging almost a triple double) and Embiid is averaging 20 and 10. They're 2-4. I mean yes, they have some talented players. Lots of teams have a few talented players; some even find a way to win games. You don't have to tank for years to acquire talent, and simply acquiring talent is not the same as winning games. I'm with you and Frogs, I think the Sixers have some great young players. I just disagree with the idea that 'The Process' is working because these guys fill up a highlight reel. Basketball execs don't get paid to assemble a Globetrotters team, their job is to make the team competitive. When the Sixers are making deep playoff runs, you can say the process was a success (and even then I'd argue that you don't have to bottom out for years to get there-- look at what the Celtics did), until then just enjoy the highlights and hope they keep improving. I'll say this: for a city notorious for terrible fans who consider booing the main reason to attend a sporting event, you two are incredibly optimistic. And I mean that as a genuine compliment, I really do.
