I'm gonna check my local listings, thanks. I do have several documentary channels. This is like your BBC, petro, so I don't know if it will be on a regular documentary channel. I think you may have to find a way to stream it from them after it airs. Unless you have a PBS station available to you. Good luck with your search. I know you're very interested in Corman. My friend said he was sharp as a tack and very glad to be included. EDITED TO ADD: The notes beneath the clip say -- "The film premieres nationwide Monday, October 30 at 9 p.m. on PBS (check local listings) and will be available to stream the following day, Halloween, via pbs.org/americanmasters and PBS OTT apps." I don't know how to do that, but I assume you do. I have access to a PBS America channel through the tv provider SKY but can't see this show listed at all. I think it's like the TCM we have available here in the U K in that it's a limited selection plucked from the original American programming.

If you can stream. I can't, but I'm a dinosaur. I'm not sure about streaming. I'll check it out when it comes around. It's bound to turn up on dvd (or youtube) down the line. Thanks/.

1935 1931 1962 All movies above and many more movies liked to use Edgar Allen Poe's name, without caring much about the actual written words of Poe himself.

petrolino Just wanted to let you know that I watched it last night, and it was quite good in so many ways. But Roger Corman's appearances are infrequent and brief - though he's an amazingly articulate 91 year old with a great screen presence. But if you're interested in this for Corman only, I wouldn't recommend going to a lot of trouble to find it. When I mentioned it before, I thought he was in it more. I want to thank you sincerely for the heads up about the show. There was much about Poe that I didn't know, and it might have escaped my notice otherwise. That said, I was quite disappointed in it overall. With the heavy reliance on melodramatic enactments, it resembled something more suited to TLC or the sadly-diminished History Channel, and at 90 minutes, there was as much padding as substance. We finished it and I certainly don't regret watching it, but I didn't find it to be anywhere near AM's usual standards.

It's all good with me - I like the work of both Corman and Poe. Thanks for the lowdown, it's fixed on my radar.
