I was really kinda hoping they'd give the job to Muschietti, but I guess he'll be busy with the It sequel.

There must be plenty of other Steve King stories to be adapted. They did 1922 just this month.

until i watched it recently i would have gasped at the notion of a remake of that classic. but after the rewatch i found the parents to be badly casted and just thought it could have been written better.

I liked the first half better than the second half. The wife was okay but the dad (forget their names) was pretty wooden. I'm worried though that they'll make this into a run-of-the-mill zombie movie.

I guess it's just the matter of whether or not they'll be faithful to King.

Yeah, Pet Sematary hasn't aged well. For once I welcome a remake, though I also hope that this will be a re-adaption of King's original story instead of being more based on the 1989 movie.

Yeah the original sucked. Glad to see it's getting remade.

The original had a lot of good things going for it, and one of them was the actual use of Maine as a backdrop. I hope the filmmakers do the same this time around.

THIS IS A FUCKING REMAKE, NOT A REBOOT! Reboot is what they're calling remakes now.

I thought they are called re-imaginings now, since people are growing tired of "remakes" and "reboots". Mostly same shit, just different package.
