since its a home video release?
there are changes between the two versions ( Such as Lex being transferred to Arkham at the end.
But because the UE was a home video release and not the mainstream garbage we got in the cinema, is it technically canon?

I think the DCEU is going to eventually try to distance itself from almost everything that was in that movie. So it doesn't really matter.

I do suspect that if Justice League is a big enough success, they'll definitely adapt Flashpoint to renege what happened in BVS.

This is starting to sound like the Dark Universe all over again. Except that D.C. didn't restart it's Universe twice. Also don't give me that crap that's Dracula Untold was never meant to start it off. It started it off way better than the Mummy did.

Dracula Untold is definitely a better movie than The Mummy. The super hero version of Dracula!

It felt like it was trying to be less like a Mummy movie and more as I like to call An American Mummy in London. Also if they were gonna do another Mummy movie how were they gonna go about it if Tom Cruise basically was the Mummy?

If they had stuck with the gothic horror it would have been better. The Mummy is not great but I think it is better than Dracula Untold.

Neither were great, nor were they franchise starters.

Actually, in a strange way, I think it might have been better received if had been called An American Mummy in London. American Werewolf in London didn't shy way from its campy elements and is a classic. They totally could have gone that way.
As for Tom Cruise being the Mummy himself they'd just remove the curse from him.
