holding - - 20 games a season - these figures include subs and cup games welbeck - 20 jenkinson - 10 wilshire - 17 walcot - 37 chambers - 20
6 in the squad at present - none are starters - bar walcott sometimes. and arsenal probably average 38+6+2=46 (garranteed last 20 years) so lets say 56 games
alot of the above are sub figures - in walcott's case he has been subbed 152 times and started 240
for the longest reigning manager to have these figures in the PL is a disgrace - it may not even be the worst english representation - but if you look at Man city that are frowned upon at least pep has improved 3 players immensly - sterling, jones and delph - plus bought an international in walker.
non of wengers english players will get in the team - the players he has also just lost are a shadow of themselves - ox and gibbs.
this is the team in 1997 - when he started or was it 1996
merson bould keown dixon winterbourn lukic adams lingighan seaman wright parlour platt huhges upson all mainly starters with bergkamp and petit
his english successes that he bought since was a palace player - wright ashley cole - youth product - had a loan spell at palace which clearly made him the best left back in the world sol campbell - the fruit sold him to tottenham - wtf
thats it - 3 english players that did well in 20 years as a manger.

He inherited Graham's defence and built every single success he had on its back.
The end.

Half those players at the top have had their careers dented by injury. Whether that's something Wenger can be blamed for I don't know, but it's a contributing factor to them not having enjoyed better careers. Not that I particularly rate them that highly when they are fit anyway. Look at Walcott last night for example. It's a World Cup year, you're not in the England squad, and you can't show any real motivation or form to do it against weak Europa opposition, even as a captain. In fact Wenger should know better than to pick him as a captain. Sums up the mess Arsenal have become in terms of player and manager.

Theo Walcott is the most overrated footballer in EPL history. Partly, Eriksson's fault for picking him for the 2006 world cup.

i like wenger for many things - but not for his disregard to english players.]]]he certainly bought more french than any other player - thats not a big issue - but it shows his perspective,
however in london having a cosmopolitan team is fine but you still need british representation. wengers team played beautiful football - which i respect. he helped t he PL brand by buying forign. I wanted to watch arsernal.. a lot in periods of my life , like i wont to watch city and totenham today. he also aided a more mixed legaue of styles.
i think 33% of english players is fine - i have no issue - my issue i people making money out of ruining them .. like chelseas owner mainly.
asernals issue was clear - and he never identified it- he bought players that play to close to opponents, all of them do bar some strikers,, they are subject to knocks game on game - he was so stubborn that he didnt change this. sadly the english got he biggest brunt of this and have ankle injury after ankle injury.
buying welbeck i thought was prettty cool of him- but he never plays him even when fit.
wilshire is highly skilled so if you are going to eep buying these players that out dribble players very close to them and get fouled a lot you have to train them differently - you have to put the time in..the way poch would or pep would.
Watching Pep and what he has done to stones, delph and sterling is an eye opener. sterling has not just grown as a footballer but also a man.
Pochs countless english players from southamptin to totenham under him are a delight and are playing amazing football - and he has brought winks straight in - trippier was at barnsley for 5 years on loan - come to the prem under pochs guidance and has 10 times more skill than walker,
kane had one of his best ever games last night - yet he didnt score - but he demoralised world class players - not just the weakened defense but also kross isco and modric,
Alli came of a ban - he came of media bias, he cam eof pundits saying he is out of form - he scored two goals and dint once get angry ,
tottenham were chilled as a cucumber - real madrid - the cl champions for two years running looked like people locked in phsc ward.
a manager has many jobs and many cures, wengers job is to identify the problem and fix it - if that means a change in the way the player players so be it,,,

Theo Walcott is the most overrated footballer in EPL history. Partly, Eriksson's fault for picking him for the 2006 world cup. and yet the only english player wenger bought in to play a significant amount of games - do you not find that odd over a 20 year career?
