An animated feature by Blue Sky Studios, and has Will Smith and Tom Holland in the lead roles. Smith voices a super slick World saving spy and Holland voices a geeky gadgeteer. Will be released January 2019. Here's the first image from the film

I'm not sure if Will Smith is ever going to have another successful movie again. I don't think it's exactly fair, but people have really turned on him.

The design looks cheap even for Blue Sky Studios.

this guy is an illuminati puppet. I can imagine the scrutiny into Scientology being a convenient distraction for those chaps.

He's got that Aladdin remake in 2019 that will probably be a hit, dafuq is he signed on this for?

I don't really know anything about the project, so I can't make any early guesses about its success.

I think it's very possible that will Smith and Beyoncé could single-handedly turn people off to Aladdin and the Lion King.

I'm indifferent to her but I figured she was still pretty popular.

What makes you say that? I don't really know anything about the project, so I can't make any early guesses about its success. A fair point. I have also made the case here that we can't prejudge a film before we've seen it, so I understand what you're saying. With that said, I stand by my argument that this movie will not do Smith any favors in light of what politicidal articulated before. Animated children's films with what seems, from those early glances, weak animation do not exactly bespeak a great deal of seriousness in role choice or quality. Now, that may be completely wrong, and Spies in Disguise may be some kind of unexpected masterpiece (as much as I doubt it). But, either way, I doubt many viewers are going to be looking forward to this movie as some kind of boon for Smith's career.
