Ok, so in basketball they changed the championship to 2-2-1-1-1
In MLB they go 2-3-2.
What do you guys prefer?
Ill go 2-2-1-1-1

22111. The other way, 232, seems more advantageous to the "3" team.

I much prefer 2-2-1-1-1, seems fairer to both teams.

I much prefer 2-2-1-1-1, seems fairer to both teams. Then why not just do 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 ?

I much prefer 2-2-1-1-1, seems fairer to both teams. Then why not just do 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 ? may seem insane at first because of travel but why not. let's chop the regular season down folks and concentrate more on the playoffs.....where it matters. that being said - there's no reason for 7 game series. play the 1-1-1-1-1 - home, away, home, away home during a 5 game set. you lose 3 times to a team during a 5 game playoff you don't deserve to be a champion.

I'd actually prefer not having 7-game series. I'd prefer having 3-game series for three rounds (including wild cards) and then 5 for the final round. Wild cards would need to win 9 games total to be World Champs. Other teams would have to win 7.
If it were up to me, I'd also redo MLB, NHL and NBA to all have 42-game, 28-week seasons (not including playoffs), so 3 games every two weeks for each team--everyone has one weekend game every week, alternating Satuday and Sunday (half of the teams have a Saturday game and half a Sunday game), plus one weekday game every two weeks, with the weekdays rotating so that there are just a couple weekday games each night for each sport. (And so MLB would get rid of series during the regular season.) I'd also stagger the starting times for each sport so that one starts every four months. MLB should start the first weekend of March, NBA starts the first weekend of July, and NHL the first weekend of November.
With the NFL, I'd like to see 20 games per year, so an extra month. It should be scheduled so that the Super Bowl is the last week of February rather than the first week--a week prior to the start of baseball. So the NFL season would have to start the middle of August instead of the beginning of September.
[Edit:] Actually, it would probably be better to have no playoffs overlap, so it would be better to start the NBA the first weekend of June.

I'll be unpopular, but I like the 232 in baseball, but think that 22111 is fairer overall. In baseball they.play every night, makes more sense to go in clumps. In basketball there's a one day gap between home games anyway. No need for 232 in that situation.

Innovative. Was once told - you need to learn to adapt in life in order to succeed. NBA, MLB, NHL seasons are way too long 'game wise' in regards to how many games they play - chop it down but extend the travel days in between games. 82, 162, 82? For what? I get everything comes down to money. Want to help the struggling gates and TV ratings - stretch it out as you've stated where games are events. NFL can do without 4 preseason games; however you can extend the regular season in this sport. I love it ![](https://s26.postimg.org/s8tffwvq1/cheers.gif)

22111. The other way, 232, seems more advantageous to the "3" team. I once figured out all the probabilities. Turns out the chance of each team winning was equal, no matter what probability I assigned to each team for home and away. 2-3-2 does make for a slightly longer average series, however, if I recall. Not sure if it's fair for the worse team to get 3 games of revenue to the other team's 2 games for a 5 game series.

Look at all the injuries this year, wed be seeing 3rd string QBs for some clubs! I like it though. I like the 7 game series though, but I see a lot dont. I wouldnt mind shortening the baseball season though. Interesting idea tbqh..... I also like that 1-1-1-1-1-1-1 idea too.
