How do you guys like Brad Stevens and the current Boston Team? I am a Rockets fan but I felt extremely sorry for Boston when they lost Gordon Hayward. With him in team they could have been a legit threat this season. They are still a contender for finals though.
I like Brad Stevens because of his cool and calm personality and his usual on-court demeanour. It is very rare to find people who don't brag and who are level headed but have an eye for attention to detail. His team also seems to have taken on his own personality. They are more well behaved than other teams. My rockets for example do indulge in trash talking at times. Even GSW which seem to be nice aren't really that nice. But Celtics of Boston usually give positive experience of watching a game because of their competitiveness and other positive qualities.

I have liked Brad Stevens since the fantastic job he did at Butler. His basketball knowledge is unmatched. When he made the jump to the pros at such a young age I had resevations about how the players would respond to him, but he is the type of coach that gains respect through his great basketball mind and his cool even demeanor.
As much as I hate the Celtics I still wish him success. He's just that likeable.

pretty impressive they started off 0-2 and have rattled off 7 straight wins.
he's had some juggling to do with that rotation. i see ESPN has Jaylen Brown listed as a 'SG' when his role was previously 'SF' - and this kid got buried in the past for not being able to shoot. nice to see him putting up over 15 a game right now.
goes to show - sometimes all it takes is time with these young kids is time - he struggled mightily early on and the wrap against him was he couldn't shoot. if memory serves i think he was the 3rd pick or so in the draft a couple of years back.....

Any history between them? pretty impressive they started off 0-2 and have rattled off 7 straight wins. he's had some juggling to do with that rotation. i see ESPN has Jaylen Brown listed as a 'SG' when his role was previously 'SF' - and this kid got buried in the past for not being able to shoot. nice to see him putting up over 15 a game right now. goes to show - sometimes all it takes is time with these young kids. if memory serves i think he was the 3rd pick or so in the draft a couple of years back..... Must say that I was sort of those who reached erroneous conclusion that they won't do great this season after they lost Hayward and first 2 matches. But I like how they turned around.

Yeah this current team with a fit Hayward could be challenging for any opposition. Thanks. Yeah, we have started well and especially given that Chris Paul's addition will probably make us better, I am happy as of now. I reckon we are looking at seed 3 in west with about 54 wins unless another injury surfaces. But our problem is that we are live by the 3 die by the 3 team even though I am liking the fact Eric Gordon is trying to be aggressive inside the paint and even dunking a lot. Your 76ers also seem to be getting their act together. Seems like a team for future if those 2 future HOF remain there.

Perfect wing. Plays great 'D' and shoot the 3 ball too. I think Saric will find his groove eventually, Redick seems to love it here and I think will re-sign and I'm not worried about Fultz at all. Crowd was nuts last night - nice to see from 'the joke of the league' according to some for the last few years:

Yes, I'm a lapsed Sixers fan you could say. I grew up watching the NBA in the 80's and the Sixers became my team. Loved Dr J (favorite player of all-time) and the rest of the team. Back then it was either the Sixers or the Celtics or both in the Eastern Conference Final. Those Sixers going up against Larry Bird, Kevin McHale and Robert Parrish was always a battle. That's how I came to hate the Celtics.

I still vividly remember the day he was signed. We were at a baseball game and all the knowledgeable sports fans there said "Wow" when the news broke over someone's phone. We knew it was an out of the box signing, but we also knew it was an incredible signing. That guy is a great coach. Thee best in the league. Fuck Pop. Brad is better and going to be the greatest coach in NBA history. He's that good.
Having said that, Danny Ainge is the greatest GM in NBA history. His team made it to the Conference Finals, a game or two away from The Finals, and a few months later he gets rid of ELEVEN players on that team and only keeps four (and only one of those four that he kept was a starter!). This brand new team is now the best in the league. Ainge sure knew what buttons to press. He hired Stevens and he built an entirely new team - a great one - in just a few weeks.

I like Pops a lot more than I used to. He just wanted to get tossed at that point. No one traveled. Kyrie loves Stevens. ""Brad fits perfectly in terms of that because he has an intellectual mind and is an intellectual human being," Irving said. "It was something I was unbelievably craving in terms of what I wanted for my career." Irving has long been an admirer of Stevens, and told reporters at media day that he "wouldn't want to be with another coach." "Because he is that intellectual," Irving said, according to NBC Sports Boston. "He is that high-character guy. He's growth-oriented. He wants the best for his team. He's realistic about his goals, about the mission. "That's who he is. He's a smart individual that knows basketball."

I didn't like how Bron arranged the departure for David Blatt. Treatment handed out to him was unethical and not so pleasant.
