What do you think of the show? What do you like/dislike about it? What would you change?

Yep and i really felt nearly every character was hard to watch.

I DVRed the whole thing and waited until it finished to start watching it. I gave it a few episodes, but I just couldn't get into it. It was overly serious, awkward and cheesy-feeling, with a sketchy, complex mythology that seemed arbitrary. The Wizard of Oz connections seemed kind of pointless and forced, too. I deleted the rest of the season without watching it. There were some nice visuals, and I liked the girl playing Dorothy (or whatever they changed her name to), but I was frustrated and very disappointed with it overall. I got the sense of it being a troubled production.
There was an Alice in Wonderland miniseries not too long ago that tried something similar, and that one was successful in my opinion.

I am working my way through it. I have very mixed feelings about it. On the one hand, it's clear that a lot of work and a lot of money went into making it. Some great actors, amazing design and costuming. I noticed that Tarsem Singh directed it.
But on the other, the story is so incredibly dark. And who is the intended audience? I have always thought of The Wizard of Oz as being a story fit even for young children. This production deals with very adult themes, that make it completely inappropriate for many children. It's one thing for a witch to be killed off-screen when a house falls on her (a witch you never see, mind you--just her legs and shoes); it's something else entirely for the audience to be shown a witch blowing herself away with a gunshot to the face. Then there's the violence of the soldiers. And the sexual activities of the Wizard's harem.

I made a thread two months ago about it. I thought it was terrible. I watched the first episode and then deleted the rest.

I really liked it, although the Jack story was a bit clunky in pacing and I didn't find Dorthy terribly likable, but I enjoyed the episodes the local station aired. They stopped, for some reason, right after Dorthy and Scarecrow/Lucas split up at the caravan wagon. I don't know why they didn't air the rest of the episodes. Might have to get the app for NBC so I can watch the rest.

I enjoyed the show but from day one I had a feeling it was going to be cancelled (high production values and the kiss of death slot on Friday night) so when it happened I was disappointed but not surprised.
