Our Hamilton Beach coffer maker is on its last leg. We have always had Drip Coffee Makers. But we are thinking about getting a Coffee Percolator. Do any of you have a preference and if so why?

Does anyone have a Keurig? If so, do you like it? Is it worth the cost?

I own a Krups drip coffee maker. I purchased it in 1984 and have made at least one pot of coffee daily with it since then. It is still in perfect working order...

Well we got a Hamilton Beach Coffee Percolator. We both agreed it tasted better than coffee from regular coffee makers. A lot better. That being said we took it back. Here is why. When we got about half way through the coffee we started getting coffee grounds in our coffee. So we reread the instructions and tried it again. Same thing. We were disappointed because it tasted so good but who wants coffee grinds in their coffee. So its back to a regular coffee maker. This is the one we got.

...my nephew has a Keurig and I must admit, it makes one hell of a cup of coffee...but I'll stick with my Krups...

Haven't had a percolator since the 70s. There was a Black & Decker Spacemaker hanging from the kitchen cabinet when I moved here 17 years ago, and aside from a few times when it refused to brew, it's been fine.

I use a French press. It's a little more time-consuming but it allows you to make very strong joe.

Coffee should never be boiled. Maximum flavor is brewed at 200 degrees F.
