The Man Who Folded Himself by David Gerrold. I like Gerrold overall and he has written some very good novels but while the idea for Folded was intriguing (time travel) the ultimate execution and story defy adequate description. I can only say that I was about a quarter of the way through and I thought to myself 'Is he really going to do what I suspect he is going to do?' and sure enough, he did, without giving away any spoilers. It's a bizarre novel. I am sure that this is the kind of novel that does appeal to certain people and I would suspect is something of a cult classic among certain groups of people. But, on top of the bizarre story it's not very well written or constructed. Its saving grace for me was its brevity or I am not sure if I would have been able to finish it.

Too bad, I was interested in reading it.
