They usually come with the Blu-Ray combo pack so yes, I still purchase DVDs. The DVDs are useful when I want to watch it on my computer.

Of course. I'm a collector, and I want to watch it whenever I want.

yes
the problem with streaming is that something could happen to your internet wifi or the internet itself. then you have nothing.

Yes. I 'still' buy DVD and Blu Ray. I'll admit that I don't rent much anymore though.
I personally prefer to own my movies in physical format.
I don't like the idea of having to subscribe to multiple streaming services to get what I want.
Streaming is basically a digital rental service as far as I'm concerned. You don't actually 'own' anything you watch.
Also, not every movie in existence is available via streaming, and some never will. The only way to get them is on disc.

I still buy movies and tv show on blu ray and dvd. I have no interest in watching them online, i need to have them in my hand. I don't mind seeing them on Youtube as long as they haven't been butchered to avoid copyright, but otherwise yeah, I have a MASSIVE DVD collection and still get more. And I rent them from the library all the time.

Oh yes, when we used to have a video store, and everything went to DVD and was now $3 for 1 day instead of $1 for a VHS tape all week, we started buying everything we liked on DVD so we only had to pay one time for it, it got to the point we ran out of room to put them, but you always find more that you want. So what I started doing was buying stuff that I wanted to see, and donating it to the library, so when I want to see it, I can rent it and watch it, but I'm not stuck with the hassle of finding a place to store it longterm.

Buy, yes. I'm not settling for inferior quality because it's more "convenient". I don't read them anymore though. There aren't many places where you can still do that. I use Amazon and Netflix.

I still get Blu Rays in the mail from Netflix. Their streaming catalog keeps shrinking.

***I completely agree. They got rid of or lost the license to fx and many other shows. Malcolm in the Middle is now gone and there is no way to buy the DVDs in region 1 (due to the music).

If there's a particular older movie I really want to see and I can't find it on Netflix, on-demand streaming or whatever, then I will resort to renting the DVD or blu-ray, whichever format it's available on.
As for buying movies, I usually get them on blu-ray.

Yes, I buy movies and TV shows on DVD all the time. I mostly watch Netflix for original content and movies that I haven't seen yet. If I see a movie I like in theater or HBO etc. I will buy it on DVD. I also buy all my favorite TV shows on DVD.

I very rarely buy a film on BR/DVD these days, Hollywood releasing too many films & shows and if I collected everyone I watched I'd be knee deep in BR/DVD. Still rent some new releases.

I tend to buy older films that have been reissued with extra features. I don't rent anymore, but I do borrow from the local public library.

Haven't rented in nearly 20 years and haven't bought in nearly 10 years.
I have made the jump online.

i still buy mainly catalog titles, only 1 or 2 new movies a year are worth owning This exactly. Not many new movies interest me but I buy a lot of older movies on DVD & Blu-ray, both used & new.
