Can I "meh?" It's pleasing enough in a frivolous, effervescent way, but I really don't understand where its reputation comes from. I guess others were more susceptible to its charm. The only Truffauts I've really loved were The 400 Blows and Two English Girls; the latter is, in a way, the mirror image of Jules and Jim, but I thought it better in almost every way, including being Truffaut's most gorgeous film.
