Who do you prefer?
I've read about 6 Reichs and 3 Cornwells. I can't recall much at all about any of them, both produce fairly forgettable novels. But Brennan's involvement in crimes and solving them is more believable than Scarpetta's. On the flipside, the love interest in the Reichs books is pretty awful.
I think Reich is the better of the two, but still very average.

Reichs' books are probably the only "mysteries" I read. Her novels have verisimilitude because she is (was) a forensic anthropologist herself. I don't know where she finds time to work between the books and Bones. The only things I don't like about her novels is that each chapter ends kind of "cliff-hangery" and there's an awful lot of product placement in them.
Haven't read any Cornwell except for Bernard Cornwell = and he's a whole different kettle of fish.
