1. One MCU fan defended MCU's constant jokes and 1-liners during battles by saying "I grew up with a couple of terminally ill cousins down the road. We laughed & had fun & didn't talk about the fact they wouldn't see their 18th birthdays. You can't be somber all the time"
Well, that's a case of someone who knows they have a terminal illness and is trying to use humor to take their mind off of their impending fate. It's a lot different than people who are in imminent danger suddenly cracking jokes and 1-liners. For example, recently hundreds of people attended a concert in Vegas when a sniper starting shooting at the crowd from a hotel window across the street. How many of those people do MCU fans here think were cracking jokes and 1-liners while they were running for their lives?
I'm pretty sure the answer is ZERO. That's 1 of the reasons (and a very valid and legitimate reason) why I give such low ratings to MCU movies. Because MCU movies always treat war and people getting killed as a big joke and always diminishes serious moments with a bunch of jokes and 1-liners.
2. MCU fans always criticize Superman for kissing Lois after the World Engine was destroyed and the Kryptonians were neutralized. But there was nothing wrong with Superman kissing Lois at that moment. The human race was almost destroyed in the war with the Kryptonians, but they survived the war so the natural reaction for anyone in that situation is to hug and/or kiss someone they love. Going back to the example of the Vegas sniper, many of the people attending the concert were there with family or friends. When the people who were running for their lives not knowing if they were going to make it out of there alive finally got to safety, how many of those people do MCU fans here think the 1st thing they did when they realize they were safe and unharmed was to hug and/or kiss someone they love?
I'm pretty sure most of the people surviving that traumatic experience the 1st thing they did when they realize they were safe and unharmed was hug and/or kiss someone they love. Sure, there were over 50 people killed and over 400 people injured. But for anyone surviving that traumatic experience, the natural reaction is to immediately hug and/or kiss someone you love. So are MCU fans here criticizing all the people who survived that shooting and the 1st thing they did was hug and/or kiss someone they love?
3. Why does Captain America always appoint himself judge and jury?
Age of Ultron - Strucker is unarmed and just standing there and not making any attempt to attack Cap. Strucker is no threat at that moment and all Cap has to do is arrest Strucker and then Strucker would stand trial and a jury would decide if Strucker was guilty of the crimes he would be charged with. But Cap appointed himself judge and jury and decided that Strucker should be punished without any trial so Cap kicked his shield (which is made of the strongest metal on Earth and is strong enough to stop Thor's hammer) with such violent force into Strucker that it sent Strucker crashing into the wall behind him. That was an brutal and violent assault and criminal action committed by Cap.
Civil War - Double-murderer Bucky has been arrested and will be extradited to stand trial so Bucky's lawyers would have their chance to present their arguments to a jury. But once again Cap appointed himself judge and jury and decided that Bucky shouldn't be punished for the 2 murders that he committed so Cap aids and abets Bucky to flee, forcing law enforcement to divert valuable resources and manpower away from protecting innocent people and catching other criminals in order to try to track down and arrest Bucky and Cap.
1 person appointing himself judge and jury is often the 1st step towards tyranny, and that's what Cap seems to favor by always appointing himself judge and jury. MCU fans have tried to defend Cap's tyrannical actions by claiming that Bucky wouldn't have received any trial, but that's false.
The media had reported that Bucky was wanted by the law. Bucky was arrested in public after a chase through a busy thoroughfare so there were plenty of witnesses who saw the police arrest Bucky. So there was no way the government could cover up Bucky's arrest or hold Bucky without a trial beacuse the media would've demanded to have access to the trial to report on it. So the government was definitely going to give Bucky a trial so Bucky's lawyers would have a chance to present their arguments to a jury. But like a tyrant, Cap appointed himself judge and jury and decided that Bucky shouldn't be punished for the 2 murders that he committed.
4. Why are MCU's "heroes" so ruthless and always hell-bent on revenge and vengeance?
In BvS, Superman saves Lex from getting pulverized by Doomsday, even though Lex kidnapped and threatened to kill his mother. In Wonder Woman, Diana could've squashed Doctor Poison (who created the poisonous gas that killed an entire village of people and that Steve Trevor made the ultimate sacrifice to destroy) with the tank but she showed mercy.
In Ragnarok, Thor puts the Grandmaster's neutralizer device on Loki's back and leaves his brother to be captured or killed. Loki was fortunate that the other prisoners found him, but Thor was a ruthless and merciless dickhead who just abandoned his brother to be captured or killed.

Less than a week before the JL shows up with it's jokey Flash and Aquaman and you post this? That's ballsy. We even know where DC got the idea. The dark and somber thing didn't work so they copied the Marvel thing.
Nice how you used a double standard there on the Vegas thing. It's "while they were running" when you want to use it against Marvel and "after they were safe and sound" when you want to use it to praise DC.
You'll have to hide your bias better than that.
And we get it....Cap is not allowed to be judge and jury but it's fine when Batman does it. Batman even decided to condemn Superman to death even though he knew almost nothing about him. Nice call there Bats!
But sure...let's pretend Thor giving Loki what he deserved is worse than Batman going psycho.

Seems a shame to deny ourselves the fun of watching him embarrass himself (again). If you give him attention, he'll have had his fun. So he doesn't know how much fun I have watching him fail?

The same guy that had the terminally ill cousins also had several other "tragic" relations that amazingly happened to fit the narrative he was pushing. Kind of like the way that ignorant mcu racist that called me a monkey because I'm not white always brings up his cousins black boyfriend as if that somehow makes it okay he's a member of the KKK. They somehow just happen to have a friend or uncle or closeted gimp that "proves" whatever silly point they are trying to make. scabab , poelzig is insulting us all again. I didn't mention any names. Give scabab a break. You're either begging the guy to ban someone or arguing with every other post he makes. Think about it. I'M asking you to cut scabab some slack. That should tell you something.

If you give him attention, he'll have had his fun. So he doesn't know how much fun I have watching him fail? It doesn't matter if he occasionally fails. Alfred will just teach him to pick himself up. DC teaches valuable life lessons in their films. MCU teaches fart and turd jokes

You can't be somber all the time" Well, that's a case of someone who knows they have a terminal illness and is trying to use humor to take their mind off of their impending fate. They had muscular dystrophy. Do you know that that is? I don't remember the elder boy walking. I've seen pictures of him standing so I know he did at one time, but not in my memory. They didn't laugh to keep their minds off their fate. They were kids. Kids enjoy life, whatever life they can as much as they can. So even though the elder boy had to crawl his hand up his shirt to his face to scratch his nose & his older brothers thought it was funny to pull his hand down so he had to start again, he enjoyed life as much as he could. You have no way of knowing, do you? You just assign reactions to people as if it's the truth. ? ? ? They kiss? Who cares? What the hell? What are you on about? He doesn't. Wait. Isn't that Batman? Branding criminals in BvS? Good heavens. You are exhausting. This really eats you up, doesn't it? Cap knows how to use his shield. He was simply making sure the suspect didn't slip away when there were hostiles if unknown abilities running around. Bucky was under programming. Cap knew this. They had to find the proof to save him Bucky wasn't acting of his own free will. Batman destroys every argument. The man punishes criminals. Brands them so they get killed in prison. Loki is a God. Thor has already seen him die in the last movie. Loki killed how many humans in Avengers? You know he told Kurse how to get to Frigga's room up the back staircase which led to her death. He put that spell on Odin that weakened him that he died, releasing Hela & the destruction of Asgard.

The same guy that had the terminally ill cousins also had several other "tragic" relations that amazingly happened to fit the narrative he was pushing. 57 yr old woman. Meaning I've lived on this planet almost 6 decades. So I've had a few experiences My id is my initials. Mary Ellen (maiden name)(married name) NOW CAN YOU REMEMBER I'M A WOMAN? Not a guy. That little pink symbol indicates I'm female. Thank you. Been around since the 60s. Grew up watching news reports of Vietnam on the news. Life magazine photos of the war. Charles Manson. The Zodiac killer. Life in SoCal. Sorry someone is disrespecting you. That makes it ok to disrespect me? I went to a mostly black school at one point. Maybe 5 white kids per class. We were the ones who were threatened to be beat up after school. We were the ones punished by black teachers for no reason. It's stupid to do that. People are people. Good & bad come in all colors. And this whole DC/Marvel fight is stupid. I find the DC characters boring. Sorry. I like vanilla ice cream. I like chocolate cake. Everyone is entitled to their likes & dislikes. Thank heaven we all don't like the same damned thing in this world.
