Ehhh, I guess. It still made almost twice it's budget though and that movie is probably the most famous bad movie of all time. no, Plan 9 from outer space is THE title holder. But there are so many many more vying for and being more deserving of that title like Battlefield Earth, Troll 2 etc etc.

Barring a complete disaster, Batman will always make money. Franchise wise he has become America's James Bond. On screen I think his Box Office is secured.

But it was aimed at a different audience than the other Batman films, and had the lowest budget of any previous one

If The LEGO Batman Movie is any indication, people are sick of the the character. He’s had more movies and TV shows, animated or otherwise, than any other comic book character, and its clear that interested in him is wearing off. Why exactly would anyone have reason to believe that a Batman film starring Jake Gyllenhaal of all people would do well? Has Gyllenhaal ever starred in a successful movie outside of Brokeback Mountain?I think it's a fair question to ask whether people are sick of the character, but to scoff at Jake Gyllenhaal and pretend Lego Batman was a flop is just bizarre. If anything, replacing Ben Affleck with Gyllenhaal might actually help the movie stances. People really don't like Ben Affleck and cutting ties with him wouldn't be a bad idea.

I'm more worried that it'll never end up actually releasing.
