The site has got criticism from actual film makers for that very thing. From none other than Martin Scorsese. I would like to see someone say that he doesn't know cinema But the thing is...RT doesn't make reviews. It's just a place where reviewers post their stuff so it can all be compiled together. Criticizing RT for that shows that you don't understand what RT is and how it works.

Even on this site i explained that to some users. But that's what Marty was reffering also.People look, see a number there and then decide if they should watch it or not

RT somehow seems like the place to look for reviews right now, and people let critics dictate what should they see, that was his point. Let's say Ragnarok, Homecoming and Guardians 2 had awful reviews but you liked them. Would you not go to see Infinity war because it has a tomatometer around 30%?

The people who let critics alone dictate if they should see a film or not are unwilling to make that decision for themselves. But...I think people are going to see JL and the majority still aren't happy. Yes, I would. I've seen every DCEU film thus far and will probably see the rest. Doesn't mean I don't agree with the critics.

Seriously... Every post in this thread is some sort of deep analysis about them as if they meant anything... I am honestly asking why you care so much? Because they are the closest thing we've got to an independent and objective assessment of a movie. Most people want to know if a movie is worth their time and money, prior to seeing it themselves. It is silly to haggle over a few percentage points. If a movie is in the 70-90% it is probably worth your time. 0-40% probably not.

They only matter when they agree with your opinions, like Wonder Woman. Not when they don't, like everything else. That is the DCEU way.
