And all those "platforms" fail to prove anything. You can tell because everyone says they are wrong when they don't agree with the results. Only when we agree do we hold them up as "proof". You also left off the other commonly cited "proof"...box office: 1-SM:H $880.1m 2-GotG 2 $863.6m 3-WW $821.8m 4-Thor 3 $671.4m (might move up) 5-Logan $616.8m 6-JL $109.5m (might move up) Box office is such a silly way to compare how good a films quality is. Otherwise according to you, Blade Runner is a trash film.. |

Box office results are commonly cited as "proof" on this board but of course that is also dismissed just like you just did when it doesn't support a personal opinion. Box office proves only which movies were popular. That is another "vote" of course. People voting with their wallets and going to the trouble of going to the theater. Blade Runner just didn't appeal to that many people. (just like the original) Some of my favorite comic book movies failed at the box office and didn't get glowing reviews. (Watchmen, Kick Ass, Mystery Men) Heck...I just enjoyed Justice League quite a bit. All those measurements used in the OP to prove anything can be disproved quickly by just showing other results that don't match opinions. |

I can't judge for Justice League as I'll wait til it comes out on DVD to see it. However in regards to the other five I'd rank them like this
Spidey 9/10
Ragnarok 8/10
Logan 7/10
Wonder Woman 7/10
GOTG V2 6/10

Logan was a cool movie, but like Wonder Woman, people are going overboard. Watch it a second time. It is cool, but not amazing in any way. The story is simple, which is fine, but the movie lives off it being different, violent, and sort of noir feeling. I honestly prefer Wonder Woman, SM:HC, and Thor 3. Still a good movie though. This might be the best year for comic book films ever.

This might be the best year for comic book films ever. I would agree mostly. As a pure fan I'd say Spidey: Homecoming was the best of the year. However if I were to try and be a critic I'd say Logan was the best followed by Wonder Woman. In the end? I don't think either deserve an Oscar vote. |
