No I'd never heard of it. I've added it to my list of films to watch. I did watch Richard Gere in the The Mothman Prophecies (2002) again recently. He was good in that so I'll see how he goes in The Double.

I tried reading the book afterwards, but the book was a mess and boring. Nothing like the movie. Let me know how you liked The Double, OK? And thanks for your help!

I could KICK MYSELF because I actually thought of posting that film as a suggestion a couple days ago. I decided NOT to because Belgium nor anywhere in Europe was listed as a filming location.
The Double (2011) filming locations.

Need more info. Can you visualize any of it? Was it set in a city, farmland, etc? Just try to piece together what you can from the scenes you remember and give a more visual description. I think his family was in Belgium. It was kept a secret from the spy organization, but they found out and killed his wife and kid. I remember him on a payphone, I think, which is how he found out they knew. He sped home and ran into his house. The back door was aligned with the front door, and his wife and kid were dead on the grass. That's all I can remember ATM. The Double (2011) filming locations.
Lol, which of the top two locations did you CONFUSE for Belgium or anywhere in Europe?

Filming locations aren't the best way of determining where a scene takes place, as a LOT of scenes don't match the exteriors they're intended to be. Vietnam is shot in Hawaii, Europe is shot in a backlot, etc.... I did look up filming locations on IMDb at times.

I most-definitely have learned my lesson and will post regardless of filming location.
