Ok so I'm going to do a bit of an experiment. I'm going to post this thread in both the DC and Marvel boards just to see how much things change in regards to fan bases and how much the trolls seriously influence these votes.
Let me first off share my ratings of these 6 films as I do think they are relatively comparable to an extent.
Batman Begins: 5/10
First Avenger: 5/10
The Dark Knight: 10/10
Winter Soldier: 9/10
Dark Knight Rises: 6/10
Civil War: 9/10
So for me? I will not say that Captain America's trilogy are better films per say but I as a average film viewer enjoyed them more. So don't come at me as if I'm somebody trying to be a film critic when I'm not I'm just an average fan.
Now getting into this. Captain American and Batman are not characters that I personally care for at all. Batman I find to be uninteresting but lives in a very interesting universe. Batman's villains are to me the most interesting people in his universe which is why The Dark Knight for me is a 10/10. It wasn't so much a Batman focused movie but a Joker movie featuring Batman so that hit a home run with me. For me personally Heath Ledger's Joker performance may be my favorite performance in a movie ever. He just OWNED the screen and stole that movie. Captain America is just a boy scout much like Superman who I also don't like as a character. However because I love Chris Evans as an actor (ever since I saw him in Cellular and Not Another Teen Movie) has made me care about the movie version of Cap. Not saying that Bale is a bad actor by any means but I'm not a "fan" of his per say. If a guy were to become Batman that I'm a fan of like a Matt Damon or a Bradley Cooper I'd probably sway that way too like I do with Cap. So anyways...
Begins and TFA are on par to me as both being very boring because I don't care about the characters in general so I don't care about their origin stories. They both fall flat for me.
TDK and Winter Soldier both feature the best villain of each trilogy. The Joker as I already said was beyond belief and add in Aaron Eckhart's Two Face which despite his small appearance in the film was perfect to me. His transition into that villain was perfect and it just made sense. The fact that in the end of this film that The Joker basically won because he turned Batman into the villain was just amazing to me. Winter Soldier was also great and felt like much more of a personal story for Steve Rodgers in my mind. Buck/The Winter Soldier was an ultimate bad ass in this film and the fact that Robert Redford was in this was just a massive plus. TDK is obviously the better film here but because it's Chris Evans as Cap I enjoy TWS almost as much as TDK however it doesn't come close to matching a performance by Heath Ledger.
Dark Knight Rises and Civil War. Now mind you I openly admit I'm one of the biggest Spider-Man fanboys there is. He is what grabbed me as a kid growing up and got me into comics and the such. So I know that my rating of Civil War is skewed because it was finally Spidey joining the MCU. Don't roast me on this as I'm openly admitting this because it fits no purpose of this thread to try and hide it. Why? Because I want to seem unbiased? No, I'm not a troll. Anyways, DKR I enjoyed. For me once against the villain stole the show in Tom Hardy's Bane. I loved his performance in this film. I wasn't so much thrilled with the twist of Talia in there but I got it from a story perspective and a closure from the first film with Ra's. I didn't like Anne Hathaway as Catwoman but that's mostly because I'm not a fan of her as an actor. Once again the casting kind of affects me here as the MCU has casted actors that have made me enjoy the characters I didn't previously care for while the DC movies mostly haven't. (EX: Evans, RDJ, Hemsworth) So while I find Anne attractive at some times her as an actress just doesn't do it for me. I also had a problem with the whole "oh my back is now healed and I somehow randomly get back to Gotham" thing happened. Civil War however was just made honestly for my enjoyment and I personally felt like Tony had more of a personaly story arch that I connected with more so than DKR. When Tony told Steve "I don't care he killed my mom" I legit connected with that and felt it. If I were to be honest I'd probably say it's a 7/10 but I can't help but fanboy over the fact that Spider-Man entered this movie. That airport scene is one of my favorite comic book movie scenes of all time. It just makes me smile.
In the end, I would say that the Nolan trilogy are the better made films but for me personally the Captain America films are more enjoyable for me because the actors have made me connect with them as characters.
I'm sorry this has become really long but I hope that you all read this before just randomly voting (my attempt to judge troll reactions).
