Into the semi-final now where we play Tonga. Can't imagine Tonga are very good. So pretty much in the final! Australia play Fiji in the other semi.
USA meanwhile lost 3 out of 3 matches. Just imagine if you will if England or Australia or those other surrounding southern hemisphere countries took up American Football. America would literally have to pack their bags and invent a new sport to play.

Fecking weirdos! Bunch of public school twats egg chasing. They really should just unify all these sports into one. But I'm not above jumping on the bandwagon in one of these sports if England are doing well. Might even watch the final.

England made loads of mistakes in their win today. They don't have a prayer against Australia, assuming they beat Tonga.

Imagine what we would have done to USA!! And USA is a much bigger country than Australia. And USA are really into these egg chasing sports. So imagine what England are gonna do to Australia! Don't be a party pooper.

I stopped posting about my truest love Rugby League due to the apathy on these and the old boards. England should beat Tonga, but it won’t be a push over. England has already lost to Australia in the tournament, and will lose to them again in the final.

That’s Rugby Union. Different sport to Rugby League. Its like Canadian Football and American Football. Similar, but different.

England has already lost to Australia in the tournament, and will lose to them again in the final. Fiji won Olympic Gold last year in the rugby 7s, so might not be a pushover for Australia. They didn't look like the they fluked it either, they looked shit hot in the final against Team GB. Not that I know much about this sport. But there was one American on the old board who was telling me that USA could dominate this sport in 4 years time (can't remember who the poster was now)... well they've got 3 years left and if anything they've got worse looking at those results.

Now you are getting 3 sports mixed up. Rugby League Rugby Union Rugby Sevens Rugby League - 13 a side, Play the balls, No line outs Rugby Union - 15 a side, Rucks and Mauls, Line Outs Rugby Sevens - 7 a side, Rucks and Mauls, Line Outs All come from the same game, but for many a historical reason, aren’t the same. As for the American who reckons they will dominate, I just cannot see it. All US sports have an over-reliance on coaches and ‘play calling’. The Rugby codes and football rely heavily on the actual players doing the business. I can never see a day when a footballer of the aforementioned codes will ever have a headphone in his ear being fed information directly from the sidelines. Nor a day when there is a timeout called with 30 seconds left on the clock so the coach can call a play or discuss tactics.....

Okay, got my wires crossed there, thought rugby 7s was 7-a-side Rugby League.
Still think England are going to hand out a can of whoop arse in the final though. Believe!
As a sidenote, why were we competing as GB in this world cup in the past, but now we are all split?

Tonga have about a half a dozen first and second choice Aussies and kiwis. While it would be an upset if they beat England, it would only be a fairly minor one.
I've said for a while Bob that US sports are over coached to the point of tedium. That's why they aren't as good as they should be at soccer and also why they would struggle at Rugby, League, AFL and Gaelic.
