... Who is more credible?
Justice League is underperforming at the box office, which means the general public is staying away. That leaves mostly fanboys in attendance to artificially elevate any of the audience scores we might see ... so audience scores must be viewed with skepticism.
DC fanboys flocked to BvS. Some of them even thought it was great.
We’re seeing a similar lemming-like behavior with Justice League.
Considering their past past performance with BvS, and the general concensous that BvS was god-awful, is it safe to say that DC fanboy credibility has also gone down with the DCEU ship?

From deadline.com:
On a bit of an upside, audiences seem to be enjoying Justice League more than critics’ 39% Rotten Tomatoes score: CinemaScore crowds gave Justice League a B+, the same as Suicide Squad and an improvement on BvS‘s ‘B’. CinemaScore’s audience sentiment jives with what PostTrak saw on Thursday night with a four-out-of-five star score, 85% overall positive and high 69% definite recommend. Females (42%) liked Justice League more than men (58%), giving it an A- to their B+. Under 25 (31%) gave the super friends movie an A-. Man, if they could only show up en masse now.

Yes, those audience scores.

Wonder what he'd make of Man of Steel since he didn't like Superman Returns.

politicidalI'd also be interested, but I haven't actually read Seitz's review of Superman Returns. Unless you mean Ebert's? (I know he didn't like Superman Returns.)

It's too bad he left this world before the second great boon really happened with stuff like GotG; Deadpool; Wonder Woman, Logan etc.

I've actually seen a fair amount of Marvel fans that liked it as well.

No worries, politicidal. Of course I can't speak for him, but I have a feeling Ebert would have liked Man of Steel. He loved the Nolan trilogy, especially The Dark Knight, gave 4 stars to Snyder's Watchmen, and hated Thor--so my feeling is that his heart was more with the more realistic school of superhero filmmaking.

It's a DC fanboy coping mechanism. We have seen it before. They so desperately want Justice League to be good that they work themselves up into such a state of mental hysteria, they actually believe it is good. They're like those religious nutters who pass out at Christian congregations when they get touched by an evangelist. Give it until Aquaman is released and the hysteria has worn off, they'll be throwing Justice League under the bus just like everyone else. Look how most of them talk about BvS now and think back to how awesome they were saying it was when it was in theaters.

A man in a cape. So realistic I get a dozen BOLOs a day. Look at 20-30 mug shots a day. None of them are in face paint. The cops would have mace Joker clean that crap off. So realistic Isn't Watchman a deconstruction of the Superhero genre?

Despite the conspiracy theories of a few shellshocked DC fanboys, we know the critics are perfectly willing to give props to a DC movie if it doesn’t completely suck. Wonder Woman. DC fanboys, on the other hand, have shot themselves in the foot, trying to prop up bad movies.

Judging by the reactions I'm expecting a thoroughly entertaining film with some big flaws.
