What IS the MOST-IMPORTANT and the COOLEST film EVER made?!?! This IS a rhetorical question as I ALREADY know the answer. Just seeing IF you do, or NOT.

Most important is different than coolest, I dare say.
Coolest implies comedy to me, and about a dozen vie for that award. The dry, or semi comedy cool may also qualify.
Some of the most important: The King of Kings King of Kings Lilies of the Field 49th Parallel Jungle Fighters The Bridges at Toko Ri Cabaret Shake Hands With the Devil Secret Agent Tarzan and His Mate Lord of the Rings Trilogy This is Not a Test Bury Me an Angel Nine Dead All Quiet on the Western Front Platoon We Were Soldiers Too Late the Hero Missing (To me, Lemmon's master work, and that's saying a lot)
Some of the coolest comedy: Monty Python and the Holy Grail Blazing Saddles Vacation The Rocky Horror Picture Show Father Goose Oh, just too many to mention
Some of the coolest drier comedy, but not too dry: The Mouse That Roared The President's Analyst
Some of the coolest comic action: LOTR trilogy Die Hard Superman I and II Raiders of the Lost Ark Aliens Trespass Star Wars A New Hope
And almost anything with Walter Mattheau, Cary Grant, or Audrey Hepburn, so obviously CHARADE.

Important and cool? Maybe SEVEN SAMURAI.
The other "serious" contender is 49TH PARALLEL. Because of Leslie Howard's putdowns of Hitler, Hitler actually put out a contract for Leslie's assassination, a contract that may have been fulfilled when Leslie was lost at sea during the war. The film depicted six different types of characters making up the German war machine, on the run in Canada. It was a "super cool" film, and important in the realistic depiction of the real Nazi menace, one that is politically incorrect today, and not accepted by the ones who want to rewrite History.
Important? The Verhoeven films are cool, but probably not that "important". Same for most action films.
SEVEN SAMURAI comes to the top of the list for both, I'd say. But we'll see if you can outdo that, or equal it, or fail miserably. Hoping you'll outdo it.

But I will tell you that I've NEVER actually seen this MOST-IMPORTANT and COOLEST film EVER. By "COOLEST" I don't think it has anything to do with action. More of "suave" ("smooth") or "laid-back" style of cool.
