Has anyone read either one of these new canon books? I have time to finish one more book by the time TLJ hits theaters and I'm trying to figure out which provides content that is more likely to be relevant to the episodic films. On the surface, Phasma's the obvious answer, but with so much being made about the Unknown Regions in the post-ROTJ canon books I've read, I figure maybe Thrawn has something important in it. So if you've read one of these, let me know if you think there's content you think might be related to where the ST is going.

I'm about 60 pages in and it's the worst new canon book I've read, just narrowing out Ahsoka for that honor. I've actually been pretty impressed with the new canon novels thus far. Lost Stars creeped up on me and surprised me as a really good book. The Aftermath trilogy was good. Bloodline was good. Tarkin and Lords of the Sith were really good. The rest have been all okay. I'm looking forward to Thrawn!

But at least more ups. Tarkin was good but at times he felt 2 Thrawn Like. About the part where Tarkin figured out the pirates plans by looking at the Pirates Leaders Name. All around the age of 20. Thats Thrawn not Tarkin. Tarkin should be the political genius, Thrawn the Military genius. Now Thrawn.........pure gold! BTW get the comics if u can! Bye the collected editions & save $$$

Bye the collected editions & save $$$ I've been watching the cartoons in addition to reading the books. I'd been thinking, "should I plunge into the comics too?" I don't think I have time to consume additional content, so I've been avoiding it, because if I start, I'll never stop. But if I did, what's the one series I should look into?
