I suspect Trump is saying/tweeting ridiculous things all the time because he enjoys all the headlines being about him. It makes him feel important, and Trump is a man who clearly desperately wants to feel like he is important. The news reports focus on it because they thrive on sensation, because that's what gets ratings. My hope is that eventually people will tire of reading about the latest inane spouting and change the channel. A rapid decline in Trump reporting would quickly follow. Of course the danger there is that Trump will feel that he has to do things that are even more dramatic in order to regain the attention. I agree plus his approval rating is truly hardcore fans which is actually a pretty big number to appease even if the approval rating itself is small. I think the tweets allow him to say what he thinks and the speech he gave last week is what he knows people want him to sound like. When he combines those two together you get his inauguration speech of doom. My fear is that, due to ratings and the fact that he is the president, that news will never stop reporting on it.

I beg you pardon? Labeling him a troll seems unnecessary. I somewhat understand what you mean CoolJGS. He can label me whatever he wants. He thinks his senior status means something beyond the simplicity of of posting thousands of times without saying much.
