Why would a professional do that? Had he ever played the sport before?

Why would a professional do that? Had he ever played the sport before? German Lux is the keeper. He knew exactly he was blatantly cheating. Just odd that him and his mates try and question the ref's decision. He took one for the team, but you would just walk, there's no debate to be had.

Maybe he thought that he heard the ref whistle for Offside against the attacker (who wasn't offside)

Maybe he thought that he heard the ref whistle for Offside against the attacker (who wasn't offside) Nah. Ball was over keeper's head. Guy was running through him and was almost certain to score if Lux hadn't deliberately handballed. His own fault, shit keeping.

That is my interpretation. Bad misjudgement.
Bad luck or bad keeper?

He clearly controlled it with his chest.

This will be lost on those who don't speak Spanish, but I just love that Buenos Aires accent...
