Maybe not quite as good as Daredevil but definitely better than every other MCU Netflix show.  Has MCU Netflix fatigue set in? Is the prospect of sitting through 13 hours of TV putting people off who just want a quick fix? Are some of the RT reviewers only watching like the first 4 episodes and judging the whole show based on that?  |

Depends on who you ask. Some people hate the violence, especially the gun violence, and some people hated the pacing.
Me personally? I fucking loved the show, especially since they didn't hold back on the violence! They got it right and they didn't hold a lot back doing it.

The show was very well done and the second best Marvel Netflix show. I do not get it either. I thought the pacing was way better than most 13 episode shows.

I'm three episodes in. The first episode was stale but the next two were outstanding, really looking forward to the rest of the series.

The show was always going to have a hard time for political reasons, the recent shootings and stuff have created a very anti-gun atmosphere and Punisher relies on that stuff.

I m half way done at ep 7. Its not terrible but its bot what I expected I thought there would be more action. Its like the used him up in DD and don't have much for him. I like Jon Bernthal hes really the highlight too bad the show itself is not as great.
Season 2 needs to step up

It was great. The way some people talk about it is like they wanted Frank to kill 50 persons every episode. Ridiculous. It had enough action and violence. Especially in the last 3 episodes.

It was alright, better than Iron Fist for sure. Not much happens overall, the story is weak, and the political message is smeared on way too thick. I want the Punisher to be the Punisher and go after criminals and kill them. They're trying too hard to make Frank a deep character and he really isn't.
The villains are pretty much one note and, as with Iron Fist, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage before it, the show did not need to be 13 episodes.
Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach are great as Frank Castle and Micro and I love their dynamic together and how they grow on each other and become friends over the course of the season. The other characters I could give two craps about. The scant action we do get is actually good and its a shame it wasn't more prevalent throughout.
I feel like the only time we saw the real Punisher was in Daredevil season 2 and the writers had no clue how to handle him after his origin story was told.

The only other character I really cared about was Donny who lasted the first episode. The Madani character was surplus to requirements and very annoying. Far too many episodes just throwing filler in. The whole groundhog day hotel bombing was 45 minutes too long. I enjoyed it mostly, better than Iron Fist and Luke Cage, but if the do make a Punisher 2 I hope it is better than this and goes back to the Punisher we saw in DD2. |
